Looks very pretty, as do your other dresses! But your pics (also in mentioned blog post) are too tiny to see any detail  Undecided
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Get Product and Website Opinions / Re: Opinions on Photo Background? on: October 10, 2011 11:04:22 AM
Oh that's a beautiful necklace Cheesy Personally I really like the white background, I feel it really brightens the whole picture and seems much more modern and sleek and for me makes the jewelry really pop.

i second this (also on the prettiness of the necklace :--)). the white feels more professional and luminous. the taupe backdrop gives me a first impression of a shadily lit backside of a wardrobe, which obviously isn't the look you are after. though i guess that the fact that the orange is more orange on the pic on white impacts on this too..

though you only asked for opinions on the background, i'd say you might want to give the top edge just a bit more empty space above the dummy's neck. it'll make the pictures look more balanced. the same as on its left and right'll do. the need for space is more pronounced on the darker background, the white one isn't way too tight.

Some great up-cycling work you have here! Your projects worked as a agreat reminder on how rewarding it is to re-style out-dated pieces into something more fashionable and original!

As a tiny accent I might try and give the polka dotted dress's collars a round shape.

Sweet!  Shocked It's an awesome example of "out of the box" thinking, using the attributes of repurposed garments in a very clever and unexpected way! I especially enjoy how the tiny strip of neck line seems to be the only piece of scrap material. And it has pockets too! Love it!

Wow! This is super nice!
Thank you thank you thank you for sharing the how-to! I've recently thought of trying to pull off a collar like that, and now I'll definitely give it a try.
8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: craft question? After you finish projects do you use what you make? on: September 17, 2011 10:06:27 AM
I mostly don't make things that I don't think will be used.
I'm with Cady here.

I'm lousy at tossing self made wares out and I don't want to have useless things lying around my little apartment, and I don't want to burden my friends with them either.

As a result I'm not all that productive..  Roll Eyes
