Yay I've got more done. Well I have most of my Moms gift done as well but I want to wait until I have everything done of hers.
Here's what I made for one of my nieces. She likes to read, so I made her the book clutch and inside are the little notebook that I recovered to look pretty, some bookmarks and a little reading light I found at the dollar store. Total cost $4.50 I already had the fabric, paper for the book marks and embroidery floss for the book tong. This includes the light that was $2.00
2456  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: empty thread spools on: October 23, 2005 01:27:15 PM
Someone on the pet forum made kitty toys out of hers. Of course this only works if you have a cat.
2457  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / DIY craft kit round II on: October 22, 2005 02:50:31 PM
Hey guys don't know if you've seen this swap
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=49366.0
It's when you pick a craft you can do well(it can be anything not just "Oh I can knit" but if you can make awesome shrines, etc) and make a kit for another crafter so she/he can learn your cool craft.

It looks awesome and I know a few people have said they'd like a round 2. So are enough people interested for a swap? I'd be willing to organize if there enough people interested.

2458  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Stuffed Animal Patterns? on: October 20, 2005 06:09:37 PM
I'm having the same problem!! I want to make a cuddly little puppy for my niece and have it in my head how I'd like for it to look. Tried making my own pattern but it was a no go, disastrous results lol. Found some doggie patterns but they're not what I'm looking for, they're all to real looking although very cute.
