So cute and pretty! Didn't the sweater fray at all? This would be great for all the nice sweaters in the thrift store I see.

Yay I received today! I was so excited because it made my slightly crappy day so much better. I'm in love with hat's! So stoliedina made me a very cool flapper hat, the broach on it is beautiful! It fits perfect, I had a pic of me "modeling" it but I deleted it on mistake. She sent me three mix media paper pieces that are awesome. I have to go through my frame collection to find some for them.

She also made me a pretty little purse with the same fabric as the hat. It's so cute! It will fit my phone and wallet perfectly(I checked, lol.)
2373  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: WooHoo I'm not procrastinating! Updated 11/7 on: November 22, 2005 04:16:25 PM
This is what I have for my Grandma. She alway loved when I was little to make cards for her so I made her a few and put them in a covered cigar box. Also she's 95 so she has some awesome story's that I love listening to so I made her an "I remember" book. It's an old sketch book I had lying around and covered with some pretty paper. I wrote the topics for her to write about in calligraphy. Everything was around $3 because I had a lot of it lying around already.

Here's what I have in the remember book but could use some others. Parents, siblings, each kid, pets, different holidays when she was little, first date, her wedding day, first place on own, learning how to drive, WW I and II, great depression, buying first house. Any others you think I could add?

Love the vintage cars. Where'd you get the tiny pop/beer things? They're awesome.
2375  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: tyedye tshirt/fleece quilt *edited* on: November 20, 2005 07:04:45 PM
You did an awesome job! When I saw tyedye in the title I thought you had just used regular fabric with that design but yours is much better.

ok...so you know how i said i was good at keeping a secret....i meant to say that i am USUALLY good at keeping a secret.  the husband and i were just out eating dinner, and i was blabbing about swap stuff and i slipped and mentioned something that i am thinking about makin....anyhow, he figured it out...and in the meantime i was so mad at myself!  but...the good news is is that he reaaaaaally is curious as to what i put on his little likes and dislikes....to quote him"i dont want my crafter to think i am a big nerd or something" and i sweetly reminded him that he is indeed a big ol' nerd.  the end.

LOL that's great sometimes they just have to hear the truth.
2377  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: cat scratching house on: November 17, 2005 07:00:48 PM
We just got our kitty from the pound about a month ago and now that she's finally coming out from under our recliner I want to make her a kitty house/scratching thing. Everyones ideas have been really helpful. Does anyone know where I can get those circles? You know they have them on their side so the kitty can crawl in.

Wow handsewing takes forever, I was so happy when I got my sewing machine. I'm to impatient now to do hand sewing.
Here's where the teddy for my nephew is posted. You can't tell to much in the picture but his one ear is bigger then the other, I'm kind of worried about how strong his arms are but as long as my nephew doesn't try to take the shirt off to violently I think the teddy will be ok.
