21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / **Halter Pink Polka Dot Dress** on: January 02, 2006 05:09:29 PM

I made this dress last saturday, and i finally got around to getting a picture and posting it! Its like a tube, but i sewed it on a slant in the middle, so it sorta ruffles (i have no idea how to explain it, i just sew cuz i feel like it, and im only 12). I can take more pictures though if u cant see it. It has a detachable halter (with snaps) and an elastic belt which can be worn anywhere on it, or at any level (hips, empire waist, etc.), or thee whole dress can simply be worn as a skirt! I think its really cute and i got a bunch of compliments from people. I like to wear it over a tank top thoug, cuz it almost fell of even with the snaps when i was at a play rehersal. Feedback would be great, and thanks!  Tongue Liz

23  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My gummy bear bracelet!!!! on: June 18, 2005 06:37:48 PM
http://www.craftster.org/pictures/showphoto.php?photo=14294&sort=1&size=medium&cat=500

Thats the link for the pic, even tho its just my drawing of it ( i lack a digital camera) ........ w.e.

Ok! I was babysitting some kids for a while and they had gummy bears right? So i was eating a few and i thought of how cute they'd b on a bracelet on earrings or necklace. I thought, they're kinda old (cuz i know they've had them every week for about 6 weeks [yuk] ) and i froze them. I always bring a needle and thread, in case i get bored. So when the kids went to sleep, while watching family guy, i threadeds an awesome candy necklace chocker and bracelet! Im sure u could do it when they are new and not frozen (like those sweetarty candies on a necklace?) but its cool. I got a ton of compliments. I think you should also spray it with some sealent (tho i lack that too as well as the digital camera) thnx 4 lookin! Any questions dont hesistate 2 ask
24  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / My jangly pink earrings that annoy everyone on: June 18, 2005 06:05:56 PM
Well, you know those bells that are on cat collars and christamsy stuff? Well my cat outgrew her collar, and it had 3 bells on it so i made some jewelry. I dont klnow how to post pics, so ill just explain it  Grin

1. Take those pin like looking things for earroing and bend the flat part on the bottom up so the pinin not bent.

2. take the part without the flat thing and attach it to either a hanging earing or a post. I used posts cuz they are kinda on the heavy side...

Now u have REALLY REALLY annoying earring to bug your friends with! Oh and P.S never wear them to a shakespeare performance!
25  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / yet another variation on my boob tube top, cept WITH A ZIPPER!!!! on: June 18, 2005 05:39:02 PM
ok! My friend was over and she, being totally inept at sewing was using up all my fav. fabric, so when she finally got her pursegoin, i took the material she had allready cu6t into a square and realized if i trimmed about 2 inches off it owuld fit me! So i made it! It is pink ginghim (is that how u spell it? ging- um?) with a white zipper up the front and a lip shaped button. Its really pretty tho.....  Roll Eyes
26  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / boobie toobie halter on: June 18, 2005 05:33:55 PM
Well i was stressing about finals in bed last night, when i looked over at some old scrap fabric i had left over from a skirt and purse i made when i had an idea. To fill u in, i am technically boobless. I cant keep a tube top up without looking like an 7 year old  Cry. So i have this turqouisey blue fabric and this bright lime green fabric. Ok so this is wut i did (i dont know how 2 post pics....)

1. cut a 5 inch high however long around ure boobs are plus 4 inch long strip of the green (or whatever color you want as a stripy that goes over the top of the shirt).

2. cut a however long u want the shirt to go plus seam allowences high and however long around ure body plus 4 inxches of the other color.

3. Sew the two together at the top so that its blue with a green stripe at the top.

4. Cut elastic to appropraite length (plus seam allowances)

5. Apply the elastic to the green part of the the dress (or whatever color stripe u have)

6. hem the bottom and top

7. Put on the top comfortably and take ure tape measure 2 see how long the halter strap should be

8. sew it and turn it inside out

9. Sew one side of the strap on the inside of the shirt

10. take the other side and make a button hole

11. then sew ure FAVORITE button where the other strap should be

12. and Voila, ure own babydoll-ish halter boob tube top!

hope u understand the directions.... if not just pm me for specific info!  Kiss
