1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / My first tries at photoshop *super img heavy! on: December 08, 2007 09:58:05 PM
well i got corel paint shop pro, and I play around on it a lot
these are a bunch from the past few weeks
I can basically only do stencils, so a lot of it is really pop-art-y

this was drawn in black and white, but when i scanned it it got really nasty, so i just changed the colors
I could probably find the original though if i looked...

halloween Cheesy

like the expression... haha?

2  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Cartoon-y Fabric?/sweatshirt on: May 11, 2007 02:00:07 PM
Ive been wanting to make a sweatshirt for a while, and i wante to nkow if anyone had anysuggestions for a good zip up hoodie. HOWEVER my main question was where are good places to buy fabric online? All i ever find is florally decorating fabric. I loved this sweatshirt from Kidrobot, (although im not about to fork over 165$ for it!) and i like the shape (i.e. the hooded zip sweatshirt pattern, kind of oversized) and i love the bright fabric , as well as some other fabrics of their site (its at http://kidrobot.com) because they're so colorful and bright. Any suggestions for where to get cool fabric?

some of my favorites

3  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / juicy map shoes on: March 23, 2007 02:26:55 PM
well, today this random girl in my school was walking down the hallway,  and i saw that she was wearing really awesome shoes. They had this map on them, and they were adorable. I asked here where she go them, and she said juicy. Now I'm not much of a fan of juicy, but they were cute. However, I'm not about to fork over 80 dollars for some high class "vans", plus i can't really buy them after asking her, and its different if i make my own. (you know how it goes)

so, if you don't care about all that,
how would i do this?

I'm horrible with a paintbrush and i don't think
that i could really do a good job painting it well
(although i could try) and i think sharpie would
seep through and make it all blurry like it is on
fabric. Iron on transfers? I don't know, but it looks like
how t-shirts are printed, with that sort of shiny ink
on the fabric. But I'm no expert!  Grin   Smiley   Cheesy
Ok so here are some pictures i could scrape together

also, i like them in pink, so is there a way to get pink vans? or van like shoes that are blank

Maybe there's a coach bag in it
ooooo a dead body
then the whole barbie monologe...
5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Men and their toilet seats.... on: October 07, 2006 01:58:19 PM
I share a bathroom with my brother, who for some ABSURD reason, seems to forget to put up the seat, flush, or even attempt to aim for the toilet bowl, and i am sick and tired of it. Any good craft ideas to use? I was thinking some kind of reward chart for remebering, or some kind of cross stitch (like the subversive cross stithc website thuingie) that says "Put up the seat" or something (if i learn how to crosstich!)
hope someone thinks of something before i kill him......!
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / doodles!!!! on: October 07, 2006 12:49:20 PM

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Grand Central Logo on: October 07, 2006 09:12:57 AM
I wasnt really sure what section to put this in, but its for an invitation, so i just went with this....

My Dad wanted to make an invitation with the grand central logo on it, but he could use the regular one because of the copyright, so i changed the GCT (if you can see on the first one) to an R, L, and a G.
(The Initials and last names of Him + Fiance)
Hope you like it! I did it on paint, because my paint shop pro wasnt working very well...
8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Polka Dot Beni Mitzvah Invites on: October 07, 2006 09:08:09 AM
I made these invites for my beni mitzvah. They were so cheap too! I mean as opposed to others. I made the design and got them printed at http://www.vistaprint.co.uk/vp/ns/default.aspx?PP=709253&xnav=top&GP=10%2F7%2F2006+12%3A06%3A39+PM (this page is United States for some reason)
The smaller cards are a little fuzzy because i scanned them in
the big one was an online proof they sent. Hope you like them!

( i took out some of the info, its not just gappy)
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Stationary Patterns on: September 26, 2006 07:26:27 PM
I need to design a beni mitzvah invite!
Its for a girl and boy having a party, so it cant be mainly pink or anythin with flowers or hearts or w/e.
The girl likes bright colors and pink, and i know that the boy likes orange and green too
any good ideas?
so far I have stripes, dots, circles, checks, pinstripes, squiggles
thanks so much!
(btw, its the kind thats like 4 by 8, with a white box in the middle with the info)
10  CLOTHING / Designer Clothing Homage / Kara Janx Wool Hat and Wrap Dress - SOOOO CUTE...or i think so on: September 23, 2006 04:29:55 PM
i was on the kara janx website and I found the cutest stuff!!!
however because she was on project runway, she can get away with RIDICULOUSLY HIGH PRICES! Anyways, I'm obviously not going to (or have enough money...) to buy a freakin hat for 175$ or a simple dress for 350$. Of course, I'm not nearly good enough at drafting patterns from a picture or understanding clothing or knitting (or "wool spinning")  to figure out how to make one... well either way, i need your guys's help!!!!

Wool Hat

the description on her website says...
"It is the ultimate in warmth and design. Each is made of the finest wool, which is hand-dyed and hand-spun, it is then hand made with the utmost of care. Each piece is one-of-a-kind."

Bunches of Wool Hats
(i like the one on the left and the second to the right, the rest are all too big and lumpy, unless thats what you like)

same desciption as above

'Silk Wrap Dress'

I thought these were adorable! I love the bow on the right too. Im not sure if its like the skirtie thing over a pink tank top or if its connected. Also im not sure about that black thing on the pink dress. To tell you the truth, im not even sure what it is.... it looks sorta like a modified pinafore

hope someone can figure this out or like them as much as i do!
