1  Star Trek Laptop Case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Adiarra on: July 06, 2012 01:31:19 AM
Hopefully this is in the right place!  I couldn't find a laptop section, lol. This is a laptop case I made for mah sweetie.  When asked who his fave Star Trek character was, he responded Scottie, hence the engineering insignia.  That is just a 2 layer felt applique that I hand stitched together and then machine stitched onto the front.  I made it all red and black just to make it pop, and fashioned the closure after the neck line of the original crew shirts.  Smiley

This is a fantastic tutorial!  Here is my first attempt!  Not perfect, but not too bad.  I added an applique called "Anywhere Bear" from Shiny Happy World (http://shinyhappyworld.bigcartel.com/product/anywhere-bear-applique-pattern-pdf) as well as some Mickey balloons for my Disney loving Mama.  The balloon detail, strings, and belly on the bear's tummy are all hand stitched.  Just a basic straight stitch.  And thanks again for such a great tutorial.  I know it's been a bit since you posted this tut originally, but it's still WONDERFUL!  <3

=) <3 thanks again!
