1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: colorful zipper wristlets on: November 16, 2011 05:18:13 PM
Thanks for the kind words, you guys. I use this pattern that I made when I was in, like, 7th grade. I'm 22 now! I recently started sewing again in the past few months, so I dug up all my old stuff and tweaked them a little.

My first go at wristlets. I love pairing different fabrics together so these have been fun to play with.

Brown corduroy and vintage floral cotton. I can't get enough of little florals.

I block printed the arrow pattern with a lino block. Mint green is the best.

Made with vintage mushroom ribbon. I had been waiting to use the bright lining floral forever and finally found the right project!

Crazy jungle-y floral.

All of the little buttons on the handles are pretty old, I think. I found a bunch at this junk store and had to clean them, but they look real classy now! Thanks for looking  Smiley
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / grilled cheese lino print on: November 12, 2011 05:00:43 PM
I finished this print a few days ago after sitting on the idea for a long time. My husband and I bonded over grilled cheese early on in our relationship, and we still eat them...lots. So I wanted to make this to hang in our kitchen. It's a good old fashioned linoleum print and the cheese is actually solid colored Japanese masking tape. I was about to mix some ink to get the perfect cheese color then realized this tape was perfect. Hope some fellow grilled cheese lovers enjoy this!
6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Self-Portrait Monotype on: September 26, 2011 07:27:21 PM
Thanks to both of you! I used a cream, off-white paper.
7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Self-Portrait Monotype on: September 25, 2011 12:40:00 PM
Here's a self-portrait I did. It's a monotype with four layers. I've always had a soft spot red, blue, and yellow together.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Lots and Lots of Bow Hairclips on: September 24, 2011 08:23:27 PM
Recently deciding to quit school to do what I love, get married and move to Charleston leaves me with a lot of time to sew. Luckily, that's what I wanted. Also luckily, Charleston has a few really amazing fabric stores. And obviously I've been making bows. I make other things too...promise. Here are a few of the bow clips.

9  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Re: New Rubber Stamps: Happy F*ck You Guy stamp... on: September 24, 2011 08:22:58 PM
So nice! I love this. It's such a clear image and clear message. Also, the tie looks so sharp.

So great! I love stickers and carving images, so this is pretty cool. I love your figures and all your stamps. The sideways hat and bow details are so cute.
