After my previous adventures with Pebeo Porcelaine pens I've been getting a little excitable.

3  And another wool wreath - no such thing as too much of a good thing right? in Winter Holidays by emmaline on: December 13, 2009 08:31:45 PM
Sorry, sorry - I know there have been a few of these!
Inspired by the lovely Elsie over at A Beautiful Mess, I set about making my own wool wreath (haha we don't really call it yarn here in Australia...well I don't!)

I wrapped the wool in sectons, then just cut out some white stars from some sheets of foam and hot glue-gunned them buttons on Smiley

Hope you like!

4  tegan + sara themed canvas shoes in Shoes: Completed Projects by emmaline on: November 29, 2009 06:20:49 PM
hello hello!

i got one of my best buds in our secret santa this year which is great because she's so fun to buy/make for! she's been dying for a pair of decorated canvas shoes since i made them for another friend in march... so what better time?

she love love LOVES music and tegan and sara... hence my theme!
they're pretty basic but they're only my second pair and i freehanded it all... so i'm pretty happy with how they turned out! (some of the colours bled when i took the photos but i neatened them up later)

'scuse the giant, dodgy iphone-tastic photos! i'm just stuck at work and can't fix them up Smiley

5  My 2009 Christmas Cards - Print Gocco Style! in Winter Holidays by emmaline on: November 06, 2009 03:14:09 PM
Hello hello!

I bought a print gocco machine two years ago...and only JUST used it! How mad?! I was a bit scared - what with the expensive screens and lightbulbs, I just knew I'd stuff up. But I didn't! And it was painfully easy and do-able.
So I printed up a tonne of cards using a "Merry Christmas" design I doodled up one night while watching Come Dine With Me (best show ever!)

I used kraft brown cardstock and some white too (not shown here)

I was umm-ing and ahh-ing over whether to print in black or in colour but stuck with black so I could fill in the gaps with colours like below! I think the colour will look better on the white cardstock where the colours cand stand out more Smiley

Hope you like!

And how fantastic is my snowman? I guarantee you he got a lot of use (as did the delicious choccies you sent, they didn't even hit the sides Smiley)

Next up I have to track down my Arrrhhhdorable pirate Scotty Dog - I think mum took him hostage - and my fantastic sewing pouch and diary from cyndiq

8  Indulging my boyfriend this Christmas... The 2009 Myf Warhurst Calendar in AUSTRALIA by emmaline on: November 12, 2008 09:43:25 PM
Hiiii guys!

Just thought I'd let you guys know I discovered the most fantastic free website if you want to make your own desk calendars (y'know the ones that fit in jewel cd cases?) for cute/cheap Christmas presents!
I know a lot of Christmas crafts on the net aren't so relevant for us southern hemispherians

http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/calendar.php
You just upload the photo, pick the month and yr and they do the rest

My boyfriend is OBSESSED with Myf Warhurst from Triple J/Triple M/Spicks & Specks so I made him a cute calendar for 2009 (ncluding Myf in a silly hat for Christmas and Myf with John Butler in July (the boy's birthday)

Happy Crafting Smiley

9  Re: 2008 AUSSIE christmas card & small gift swap in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by emmaline on: November 06, 2008 03:40:56 AM
Here are a couple of my bangles - excuse the repeated colour scheme.
I just mixed that colour so I was giving it a whirl while I had it. But I can do most colours! Either block, swirled in clear or swirled in white. I plana on experimenting with other stuff (glitter, hundreds & thousands, buttons etc..)

(white swirl)

(block)

(clear swirl)
Also, they haven't been sanded or anything yet, so they will look much better I promise!
I also have a square mould bangle too... but no pics on this computer.

This is just an example of a tote I made a couple of yrs back. Not sure if its considered small or medium in terms of gift, but meh! i like making them Smiley
I used my grandmas old dress for the material.

And this is just a boring shopping bag I appliqued. Obviously not super excited, but I was planning on doing 3 per person if requested with whatever you want on them Smiley It's hand stitched on but neat(ISH) I promise!

Sorry for the fat post! Just figured it was easier to do a new post than add to my donut one Smiley
