1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Re: scissosr vs. converse! who won?*Now with small TUTORIAL!* *NEW PICS* on: April 28, 2006 12:14:47 PM
Yours are pretty amazing. This is great because I have a pair of converse High Tops I don't wear anymore and I've been feeling guilty leaving them sitting in my closet. Plus, none of the flats I've tried on have seemed to fit right. I never would have thought of something like this. It's pretty creative.

That jacket is very snazzy (no one uses that word anymore), I love it. Great job!

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: My hilarious tees! on: April 15, 2005 10:35:58 PM
Since this seems to have turned into the teen post, I'm 14- 15 on May 4th! Yay!

And this forum didn't make me feel younger than everyone, I sort of imagined everyone here was around my age or only a few years older. You all just make me feel really inexperienced because I LOVE to do crafts and sewing and such, but the 'rents are against any sort of "project" that's not for them so I haven't done much, and you all are so talented and amazing!

And there aren't a whole lot of crafters in my school, but since emo is becoming a trend, there's becoming more. And thrifters are of no shortage at all. Yet I still can't find anyone to go with... And I don't hate thrifting, but I admit it, thrift stores seem to all smell like 1) Butt 2) Dead people 3) Wet Dog.

Sorry this post was so long.

Both links were pretty helpful, thanks!

So, I have a bit of a fascination with clothes that look like they could be from medieval times, but I don't really know how to make anything that could look like that. If anyone has any pattern suggestions or tutorials or pictures of an outfit that would be easy to figure out how to make it from, I'd really appreciate it if you could post them.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: I'm a milkmaid? Summer time dress. on: April 14, 2005 02:36:12 PM
So there's already about three pages communicating everyone's love for this dress, but I still have to add to it-
That dress is soooo pretty. I can't wait for the tutorial!

It did, thanks. I also found this book that I don't remember the name of, but it had something like that in there too. So, thank you very much!

Not really, but thanks anyway. All the proper, technical terms just confused the heck out of me.
