1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: I have a full body nude unitard-what should I be? on: October 28, 2005 11:49:11 AM
My friend and I were just having a Halloween brainstorming session and one of the ideas we cme up with involved a nude body stocking.  You could go as naked barbie.  You could draw on the leg and arm joints.  walk around on tiptoe and cary a giant hair brush.  I love your plan for this year but....a full body nude unitard.....the possibilities are endless Wink
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My First Matchbox Shrine on: October 28, 2005 09:49:44 AM
I'm not sure which lettering your wondering about?  I actually printed a lot of it just using my printer.  I taped sheets of newspaper or the dictionary to regular paper and ran it through the printer.  It worked pretty well and I do have little letter stamps that I wrote his name with.  Hope that helps.
3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Gluten Free Recipe Ideas or Suggestions on: October 11, 2005 08:20:04 PM
So I made the black bean brownies.  They are pretty good.  I made a few changes....

I used sugar instead of the syrup

I think next time I would leave the nuts out...they sort of ruin the delicious fudginess of the brownie or maybe just bigger chunks total personal preference.

I'm not sure if kids would love it b/c of the coffee flavor but you absolutely don't notice the beans.

Oh and everyone I've mentioned them to thinks the idea is disgusting. I'm thinking of taking them to a potluck and not telling anyone until their all gone. hehehe

I definitely recommend them
4  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Need HELP! with Chewbacca costume on: October 04, 2005 12:18:06 PM
I'd go with the fake fur.  It looks more Chewbaca-esque and it's way easier than latch hooking I would think.  I made my friend a pair of fur pants (he was Pan) last year.  I bought a pair of sweat pant at the salvation army.  Cut the fur out to fit and hot glued it on.  I'm usually a lot more paticular but I only had an hour or so and they looked good and held up all night.  Plus he wasn't all itchy from the fur.

That sounds great so we'll have 4-5 of us.  What fun!  Sorry I've slacked on coming up with a project.  I've just been crazy busy.  If you have any ideas let me know.

maybe we can aim for mid to late august?  I just started a new job and am going through a remodel at my house so that would work best for me.

I love your shirt esp. the squid.  What sort of paint do you use.  I've been wanting to try some painting on fabric but am nervous about cracking and thickness.
