I have been working on a lot of projects to reuse old denim trousers. I've been making bowls, a cover for a chair, owls and more, but the seams were always thrown away. That was before I got the idea to make them into bracelets. Its super easy and (unless you want to cover them with real diamonds..) very cheap.

I picked up two, not very attractive, frames from a flea market. Decided that I would try to get rid of some fabric leftovers on this project. I sanded the frame before gluing on the fabric.

I used a lot of gel medium both over and under the fabric so it was not a problem to make it follow the shape of the frame. 

For now I have left the frame unthreaded because I cant make up my mind if I want a matt or a shiny surface.

I participated in a swap on Flikr and these three pendants were my contribution.
They are made by combining angel scraps, sayings, pearls and paint.



They each say:

"Be the change you want to see in the world"
"All angels come to us in disguise"
"I never drive faster then my guardian angel can fly.

I have a lot of notebooks, most of them are, for some reason, black with red corners.
Not the most interesting decor, so I decided to change that and decorate two of them with magazine clippings. I protected the collages with 3 layers of lacquer so that I can still carry to notebooks around in my purse without destroying picture.

These pictures were made a few years ago. I really like them, but sadly they are very time consuming so I haven't had time to make one for a long time.

The first one is of my dad and his dog. It was a gift for his birthday.



This one is in more of a pop art style.



It might not seem like it, but both styles are very time consuming. The first one with the requires little preparation, I just draw the image on to the canvas. The timeconsuming bit is finding the colors and gluing it on. The time consuing bit of the "pop art" one is the drawing. I don't remember how many sketches I had to make but it was plenty. its very easy to "loos a person" when you remove most of the facial features. Since the colored areas are fewer and bigger its easier to glue on the paper on these images.

These are two of my colorful pillows with application. They are made of different pieces of scraps, curtains, tablecloths, tapestry and ribbons. As a finish, I appliqued a bird sitting on a branch on each of them.

Last summer I was lucky enough to come across a fantastic ribbon from the 70s on E-bay. Since then I have been looking for a project that would do it justice and last week I decided to use it for a bag.
I had no pattern, just a picture in my head of what I wanted so there were a lot of trying and failing before i finally could finish.



Its got 2 zippered inner bag pockets and 2 with no zipper.

I have 4 of these plain pine chairs. Boring as as they are, they only see light of day one or twice a year.

They were in a desperate need of a make over, so I decided to to cover one with paper. The color doesn't really go with anything in my house, but at least the chair looks a little more fun.
