1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Denim bracelets on: May 22, 2012 09:16:42 AM
Thank you so much everyone!

I wonder - could you use other seams besides the denim ones?
I'm sure you can use other types of fabric to, as long as it has a "double seam"

Thanks everyone Smiley

I checked out your blog and noticed that you are from Norway... on Craftster I saw on your profile that you are from Stavanger! I love Norge and go there every summer with husband and kids. We happen to have Norwegian friends who live in Stavanger. We went to Fister (nearby Hjelmeland) this summer. The world is big, but sometimes not that big! I just thought of our friends and of Norge, so thanks for sharing! You reminded me of some good memories!!! Cheesy

It seems like the world keeps getting smaller by the minute. Glad to hear that Norway, and Stavanger, brings you good memories Smiley
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: My First Clutch Collection on: January 04, 2012 01:47:40 PM
What a great clutch!
I really like the bright and colorful fabric!

I have been working on a lot of projects to reuse old denim trousers. I've been making bowls, a cover for a chair, owls and more, but the seams were always thrown away. That was before I got the idea to make them into bracelets. Its super easy and (unless you want to cover them with real diamonds..) very cheap.

If you want to know how to make them you can look at the tutorial on me blog here: http://avsusanne.blogspot.com/2012/01/denim-bracelet-tutorial.html

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Fabric decoupage on: October 15, 2011 02:39:42 AM
I picked up two, not very attractive, frames from a flea market. Decided that I would try to get rid of some fabric leftovers on this project. I sanded the frame before gluing on the fabric.

I used a lot of gel medium both over and under the fabric so it was not a problem to make it follow the shape of the frame.

For now I have left the frame unthreaded because I cant make up my mind if I want a matt or a shiny surface.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Altered puzzle pieces. on: October 05, 2011 02:09:29 PM
I participated in a swap on Flikr and these three pendants were my contribution.
They are made by combining angel scraps, sayings, pearls and paint.

They each say:

"Be the change you want to see in the world"
"All angels come to us in disguise"
"I never drive faster then my guardian angel can fly.

7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Dressed up Dresser...or...'What to do with tiny picture frames' :) on: October 02, 2011 02:29:29 AM
I agree with those that like the idea of the vintage crystal drawer pulls.
But think the dresser looks amazing the way it is to!

Wish I had the currage to start a project like that.
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / A decorated notebooks on: September 29, 2011 01:09:23 AM
I have a lot of notebooks, most of them are, for some reason, black with red corners.
Not the most interesting decor, so I decided to change that and decorate two of them with magazine clippings. I protected the collages with 3 layers of lacquer so that I can still carry to notebooks around in my purse without destroying picture.
