Hi everyone.Today I am going to share with you my first doily of this year  "Lavender Doily".I got this pattern from a Japanese website, fortunately it was given in diagram so I was able to crochet it without any difficulty Smiley The doily turned out to be very beautiful and I am totally falling for the lavender colour.....Original doily of the pattern was in white but as I love colourful crochets I replaced the white with lavender Smiley

Here is my doily-  13 inches in diameter

My brother is a big fan of doraemon. And he was asking me a lot to make a doraemon for him. So,yesterday I made one for him.I found the pattern in a Japanese Book and the chart provided there was easy enough to follow. But I thought I will add my English translation of the pattern for people who find difficulty in following Japanese charts.

My Doraemon is 3.7inches tall.I have used blue and white 4ply Acrylic yarn and 2.25mm crochet hook to make him. This is how my Doraemon looks-

The free pattern is on my blog,http://deltazelta.blogspot.in/2012/10/doraemon-amigurumi.html

16  2 New doilies(+free pattern link) in Crochet: Completed Projects by luckygirl360 on: September 17, 2012 11:54:08 AM
Hi everyone .Today I am going to share 2 new doilies i made this month. Both are from 2 different crochet magazines but i am posting their pattern in this single post.I hope you enjoy making them as much as i do.Please share your doilies if you made any out of these patterns.

"Study In Clusters" doily-
I get this pattern from Decorative Crochet Magazine 66.The pattern is quite easy and people with basic knowledge of crochet can also make it Smiley But for the advanced/experience crocheters this pattern can get boring after sometime as you will be using only 2 stitches- the cluster stitch and chains. As for me i like something that has various stitches and difficulties to keep me interested. So I made this doily while working on another doily(the 2nd one, described below).I have used size 10 crochet cotton thread in  golden-yellow colour and 1.0mm crochet hook for this.In the last round i have used white beads to give the border  a more defined look. The finished doily is about 17 inches in diameter.

Doily No. 2 - "South Sea Flora" -
This doily pattern is from Decorative Crochet Magazine 48.It is my first oval doily and i had some difficulty in understanding the oval diagram, but after some time managed it smoothly. So, don't give up if it seems somewhat difficult at your first look,it will be easy  once you are crocheting it.Here is how mine looks-

You can find these 2 doilies patterns for free on my blog - http://deltazelta.blogspot.in/2012/09/2-new-doilies.html

17  My "Magnolia Blossom Doily "+ link to free pattern in Crochet: Completed Projects by luckygirl360 on: September 14, 2012 05:09:55 AM
Hi guys. How you all doing?I am back with a finished doily today, named Magnolia Blossom Doily.I instantly fell in love with the design when i first saw the pattern. It was so lovely and elegant.A perfect project to crochet for home.Although it's a very time consuming doily, the finished product is totally worth every second you spend.

Original Pattern Source - http://momsloveofcrochet.com/MagnoliaBlossomDoily.html There are many more beautiful free crochet patterns on this website.I have bookmarked many more pattern from them for my future projects Smiley

The original pattern had used only a single colour, but I have used size 10 crochet cotton threads in white, black and deep magenta colours.I think the black trimming helps to beautify the doily further more Smiley
After finishing it,i added a small crocheted flower to its centre,as the original pattern was totally bare in the centre which i don't like. But you can skip the flower and place a small flower vase on the centre. My doily measured 16.5 inches across the diameter.

Please share your thoughts on it with me via comments.your suggestions are always welcome Smiley

He is 4 inches tall when sitting and 6.5 inches tall standing, excluding ears in both.He is made of Acrylic 4-ply yarn, Shade 25(steel-grey),with the help of a 2.25mm crochet hook. Hiya people.I was very busy from past month and could not get any time for making amigurumis Sad  But the pull of making amis was so strong that i could not resist and in spite of my tight schedule i managed to crochet this cute brown ami-dog.I was wondering what to name him.My brother solved this problem by naming him "Bruno".Why he choose this name i have no idea Wink Since i like the name,we kept it.Bruno is 7 inches tall and 5.2 inches long (excluding tail).I have used Vardhman Millenium yarn which is a little less thicker than 4-ply and has a self-sheen to it.I totally love how fuzzy this yarn became after some brushing =) Totally perfect for amigurumis.

So,let's see how Bruno looks - please do comment.I love to hear from you. Smiley

20  "Winnie The Pooh" Amigurumi in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by luckygirl360 on: June 29, 2012 09:14:01 AM
Hi everyone. In my childhood days i loved to watch the "winnie the pooh & friends"series.Out of all those lovely characters my favourites were Pooh n Tigger.somehow i never liked piglet n the donkey(can't remember his name}.I searched all over internet for a pooh pattern and could not find one to my liking, either some were too expensive or not as cute. So,after many trial and errors, i crocheted a pooh for me out of my own pattern.Unfortunately i didn't kept the pattern in any written form,i just continued  crocheting till I get the desired shapes.I love the way he turn out, bigger yet cute as Pooh should be Smiley He is 14 inches tall standing and 10 inches tall sitting. This is my biggest amigurumi toy till now.
