1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Re: What to do with all the Valentines leftovers---IMAGE HAPPY on: February 19, 2006 12:12:55 AM
cute box! to fix the warbly parts, put something heavy on top, like a dictionary, while the glue dries, that's always worked for me.

i think i had this once, but it was served over biscuits, but i could be wrong. my grandmother cooked everything with cream of mushroom soup so my dad banned it from the kitchen as an adult.

i love that hat, i've been meaning to make it for ages but havent had time yet. anyway, the author of the pattern made a few changes to the pattern, like making it more snug, etc. which can be found here: http://flor.trix.net/amelia1.htm

i was so excited, when expecting a surprise, you expect something awesome, not 2 ridiculous looking hats, in an issue already containing 4 various head warmers...sigh, hope the next issue is out soon.
8  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Rat Birthday Cake on: February 03, 2005 11:15:01 PM
that is disgusting and awesome. at first i was horrified because i loathe rats as my house is currently infested with them, but then i realized that you made them, and well, that's just awesome.

10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: yay for finishing projects! on: February 02, 2005 06:07:11 PM
for the yoga bag:
i made 2 button holes side by side for the drawstring and then knitted a few more inches, bound off and folded the top down just below the button holes and sewed it shut(like you would if you were making a  drawstring for pj pants and that sort of thing). then i threaded the drawstring through, which was a few feet chained on a crochet hook. i have no idea what the gauge was, i just know that i cast on 50 stitches of red heart onto size 7(us) needles. this just began as an experiment while watching tv, i was actually really surprised with how nicely it turned out. i did the strap in linen stitch so it wouldnt stretch out too much, about 8-10 stitches wide i think, knitted about 2.5 feet and sewed it to the bag. i hope that helps.
