252  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing ATC Swap - June 2012 - GALLERY! on: July 29, 2012 04:41:03 PM
She is still waiting for a package from me also!  Do they have snails in Russia?  I got a great package from her in a private swap so I hope she will post what she sent on the general board.  Her ATC's are great!

What a wonderful project!  You could sew it to a removable book cover.  Thanks for sharing!
254  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Stumpwork Dragonfly Pincushion finished on: July 21, 2012 05:44:49 PM
Thank you!  I gave it to my friend for her birthday.  She loved it!  She said that her bedroom is decorated with the gifts I've given her.  She is so sweet.
255  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Victorian Ribbonwork Bracelet on: July 21, 2012 09:02:22 AM
Thank you!  I haven't played with ribbon for a long time and needed some practise.  I just finished hand sewing a fleece polar bear and I want to embroider it and add ribbon flowers.  I've always loved the old fashioned embroidered stuffed animals.  Then after that I will make some bracelets for gifts.  I bet that the bracelets would be popular with teens!

Thank you!  I think it very Victorian, they really knew how to use bits and pieces!

Thanks

258  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Victorian Ribbonwork Bracelet on: July 17, 2012 09:46:33 PM
This bracelet is made of a 8 inch long jacquard ribbon with ribbon rosettes, crystals and Lucite beads.  I needed to practise ribbonwork so I made this out of bits and pieces.  The longest flower ribbon used was 3 inches and most ribbons were 1/4 inch wide.  This is a great project for all those little ribbons you just can't part with!  The inspiration came from the book "Elegant Ribbonwork" by Helen Gibb.

Thanks for looking!  I appreciate any comments.
259  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Sewing Tools Box on: July 17, 2012 01:04:49 PM
Thank you!  I just hope my niece will like it.  Now that she has a baby she wants to learn sewing and quilting.  A box of tools should make it easier.  Plus I have some quilting books I purchased some time ago.  It should make a good start to hopefully a lifetime of crafting.

Thanks for looking.
