Oh my god I am totally obsessed with these! I experimented today with making brooches in this way with fabric, but not sure the results are that great. However, tried it with an old tape measure and I think they look awesome!

I'm about 4 inches in - I got bored with the ribbing so only did about an inch and a half (I am really impatient) This is my first ever non-accessory knit
Recommended yarn and needles - let's hope it's the right size! How would you even go about trying it on without it coming off the needles? Is there some magic trick?
