11  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Circleghan on: January 20, 2012 03:06:01 PM

I crocheted this with Lion Brand Homespun; it was a pattern on one of their labels. I used green, blue, and purple because they are my favorite colors. It is super soft and warm. Smiley

12  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Nothing is cooler than a crocheted cupcake! :D on: January 20, 2012 03:01:49 PM

This is the first amigurumi I've made. I used up scraps I had, all Red Heart Super Saver. I found the pattern on youtube, then stitched a little face. My kitties and my little son fight over it. Smiley

13  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / unfinished but not forgotten on: January 20, 2012 02:53:43 PM
My grandmother used to do quite a lot of cross stitching. She died when she was 48 and left behind many unfinished projects. I was 7 at the time. I was given her projects and I want to finish them. My knowledge of cross stitching is very basic; are there any good websites/tutorials/books anyone could suggest? Thanks. Smiley

15  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Whatever shall I do? on: January 20, 2012 02:20:14 PM
Ok, so I have 10 2oz or 95yd skeins of Sugar'n Cream self striping yarn with blue, green, purple and white. It's too hot in Louisiana to make hats or scarves, and I'm stuck on what to make. Any suggestions.  Huh  Smiley
16  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / entrelac difficulties. :( on: September 14, 2011 12:18:40 PM
When knitting entrelac, does anyone else have the problem of the right side triangles being uneven? Will blocking fix it?
17  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / knitting with arthritis :( on: September 12, 2011 08:08:54 PM
This is my first post, and I was wondering if anyone has arthritis and finds that it interferes with their knitting. Any tips/ideas to help? I've tried hand braces, but they get in the way more than they help. My arthritis causes me to drop stitches and makes my tension either too tight or too loose, as sometimes I cannot judge my grip.
