That scarf is really awesome, it's just my style. Thanks very much for providing the link.
12  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: One Tiny Thing 20 (OTT 20) :: Sign-up Jan 2-9 (NEW SIGN-UP END):: Send Jan 3 on: January 17, 2009 07:09:07 PM
Although I'm usually in the slow & steady camp  Wink (see my avatar); I was inspired to craft quickly by my partner's list. I knew what I wanted to make the day after I got her list, and sent the OTT package off yesterday. I forgot  Undecided about the long weekend, I hope it gets there soonish.

Woo! I'm glad my list was inspiring. I worry sometimes that I put to much detail or information into those things, but then again, more information is probably better than not enough. S'alright about the long weekend, I'm still really excited to receive.

I'll be starting my OTT tonight, and sending out sometime next week, most likely.

Oh, and, out of loyalty to Arizona, I just have to say, Go Cardinals!  Cheesy
13  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Koi Fish Fishin' - amigurumi on: January 16, 2009 12:23:11 PM
Thank you again for the generous encouragement!

Sovietweed: Yes, the orange yarn from AslanTrends varies wildly in thickness, which was tricky to work with at first but eventually fun.  Thanks to your question, I'm spending the evening learning and practicing bobble stitches!

I'll have to pick some up, it looks soft and fluffy {: That's awesome that you've learned the bobble stitch, I also recommend the popcorn stitch, if you find you like making bobbles...http://www.crochetmemories.com/crochet4.php<-- Helpful stitch chart that has both stitches explained on it.

Upon seeing the orange woolen fish: (To Boyfriend): "*gaaasp!!!* Omigosh you HAVE to see this!! It is so awesome!! Omigosh!"

Boyfriend declined to look. Which is his loss, because your work is amazing...I'm in love with the orange fish. The sculpted fish are really cool looking, too. I have an obsession with all things fish related...I'd like to try and improvise my own orange fish, and was wondering, did you use the bobble stitch throughout his body, or is the yarn you used just really variated in thickness throughout it? Smiley
16  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Set of Embroidered Tea Towels - Round 2 on: January 15, 2009 11:46:25 AM
I'd be interested in this swap, and a later send out date, as well. I really want to get back into embroidery...I'm in 2 swaps at the moment, but they are quick, low pressure swaps that won't be difficult to finish in time.

I've been sketching ideas out all day, and have started crafting. I'll be winging it as I go, as I could not find a suitable pattern for what I have in mind. The first one may be a prototype for the final product though, it depends on how happy I am with it when it's finished.
19  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Happy Happy Toast! on: January 12, 2009 12:01:00 PM
These are awesome, so cute. All of your work has officially inspired me to start experimenting with poly clay, as soon as I have the money I'm going to invest in some.
