1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: PROJECT RUNWAY: Season 9 - Episode 13 - Official Craftster Discussion Thread on: October 21, 2011 08:06:04 AM
I just do not get Josh....I think his clothes are HORRIBLE! I like Kimberly a little but i don't like what she showed last night at all.
and seriously, I think Josh is a mean person and his clothes are awful.

I don't necessarily think its scripted, but I think they encourage the drama queens to turn it up a notch. I loved when Viktor called him out on not knowing anything about 70s fashion. Although I think Viktor is kind of mean spirited.
I hope the next challenge has something to do with a recon. Those are my favorite!

I couldn't believe they kept Josh!!  Angry He drives me nuts and I'm sorry but i just do not see the talent that every one else sees in him...
I absolutely LOVED Burt's 2 tone dress though, I felt like he should have been the winner, I thought Anya's jumpsuit was okay but not my fave. I was impressed with her just get up and do it attitude though when she lost her money.

Thanks! I absolutely loved this fabric when I picked it up out of the remnant bin, I don't even know how long ago. Glad I ended up with something I have been using ALL the time.

I had time to kill, and this green toile remnant fabric and in the end I got a pillow that makes it much more comfy to sit around reading

I went to my local Hancock Fabric store on labor day and WOO HOO remnants were 90% off!!! I found this green/pink batik that I could not leave. I think it will make a perfect tote to take on board when I go to Maui next month!!

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Tutorial: Men's t shirts into cowl neck dress on: August 29, 2011 09:05:48 AM
thanks guys! it was SUPER easy and I think the bad pocket situation could  be cured by getting another size or 2 bigger in the tshirts. Since I just grabbed some from the closet the were the size i wear all the time so that was not something I thought of at the time, but now I know so I can't wait to try it again.

Loved the look of this project! I tried it immediately but only had plain black tshirts, so to liven it even just a little, I cut the bands off the arms of the sleeve on top and about 6-8 inches off the bottom shirt (to make more of a tunic than a dress). Then I used a zig zag overcast stitch in bright green around the raw edges. The only thing I didn't like too much are the pockets. Maybe this style just doesn't work well on a body shape like mine? hmmm....

I'm definately not a seamstress, more like a "when the mood strikes" sewer! So take it from me, this project is EASY.
