1  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: Where can I sell my crafts/supplies? on: November 16, 2011 03:53:25 AM
the answer is you can sell in a number of places

I like the new Craftgo.com site as its free but you can use Etsy or Zibbet or sell on your own website but it takes time to get visitors
2  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Using social media on craft stalls on: September 19, 2011 06:12:49 AM

We have being developing a craft platform over the past few months which is nearly completed. (what started out as a small project has grown to be a major undertaking) It is at www.craftgo.com

We are looking at how to develop the social side from our side and future sellers and buyers point of view.

We have started our blogs and social sites but would love to get some feedback on what craft people really want.

One of the areas we are looking at is to get experts in craft making to give a series of lessons and thoughts on their particular craft.

Another is to get craft people to blog on their stall.

Any feed back would be welcome

Re Crafty Chef
Thank you for the reply
I have proof read but find no grammatical errors.
Perhaps you may point out!!
We think we will never  charge other than a basic fee on sales at 3%.
This way craft sellers can set up without any costs.
What started out as a small project has now mushroomed into a major project and our idea of being local and international based on domains is I think a better way for craft people to sell online.

We appreciate  any response that will improve the site
4  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Craft Platforms on: September 02, 2011 03:51:43 AM

Early this year I had a mad idea that I could improve my craft sales and that of others if I build a craft platform that allowed craft sellers to sell in the domain of their choice and automatically have their products listed on a main landing site.

My brilliant idea was to get craft people to set a craft stall in say a .us domain and their products would also be listed on an overal site showing products from all other domains.

That way craft people are local as well as international.

So after 4 months of coding and development I finished ( to a degree) and have gone live.

The question remains on how to run the site.

I propose that a flat fee of 3% on sales only with everything else free.

If anybody has any thoughts on the above fees or any other suggestion let me know.

Oh yeah we called the site Craftgo

5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / A Business Board on: September 02, 2011 02:58:50 AM
The business board is great but it needs to be open so everyone can add a topic.
Otherwise it's just one person asking questions or offering advice.
