This is awesome! Do you accept trades? Thanks!

Yes I do! What I have set up is an in-store credit program if you bring in items on the wishlist. It is hard to give credit though, since all items are bought "pay as you wish", meaning the price a customer pays is up to them and I have no guarantee that I will get the same store credit price for them. I do make sure that it is fair though, so I will give anywhere between $3-$15 store credit depending on what is brought in, and in turn the customer decides what they get for that $3-$15. It can't be a completely even trade since I have rent to pay and all Smiley but it has been working out fine! Most people just donate stuff, they usually have a box of things stored in a closet/under a bed/in their garage that they are not using and just want to get rid of stuff. Then they look around the store and can't help but find a few things that need to go home with them Smiley

Hello Central Florida Craftsters! I wanted to let you all know about the new supplies boutique I have opened in Tampa! Located inside The Roosevelt 2.0 in Ybor City (1812 N. 15th St. Tampa FL 33605).

Tampa Upcycle is a boutique that collects and offers used (and some new) art, fashion and craft supplies with “pay-as-you-wish” pricing. No seriously, it's pay-as-you-wish, no prices on anything. You pay what you can afford and what you think the item is worth! The idea is to have a central location where indie artists, designers and crafters can find materials that can be repurposed and made into something new. Right now I have a ton of fabric and sewing supplies, but I am getting new stuff in daily! All items are donations, or trade ins from customers.

I have a wish list of items here: http://www.tampaupcycle.com/wish-list that shows all of the items we take in, and gives you an idea of what is usually in stock in the store. Do you have any extra supplies that you aren't using? Maybe you want to trade them in for something new, or even get a coupon to save for later/give to a friend? Are there any supplies that you wish you could have the community be on the lookout for for you? I have a membership option set up where your most needed items will be included in the wish list, and donors will receive an incentive to drop those items off.

Check out the Facebook page for updates on whats going on at the shop: http://www.facebook.com/tampaupcycle or the website: http://www.tampaupcycle.com

Pretty cool huh? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this, I think this has the possibility to create a really strong and really awesome craft community in Tampa! Stop by the store anytime Monday-Friday 11am-7pm, or email me tampaupcycle@gmail.com
