OK- here are the pictures from my fantastic package from hotbettie. Hotbettie is pretty much like my sister from another mister. I loved everything in my package!

Everything came wrapped up in fabric. I love this way of packing things up.

First up- some of the stationary items

I love the little frog paper. He's so cute! The handmade rainbow paper is gorgeous. In another picture you can see a stamp that hotbettie sent that stamps little mushrooms. It's just not in the official stationary photo.

Here are some really cute stickers

Hotbettie also made me a hat from my wist! Pretty cute, huh? It has a little felt heart on the side that you can kinda see. It's hard to take a picture of yourself without looking like a doof. My self portrait work has definetly gone downhill since I quit Myspace.

Hotbettie included the cutest pictures of her family modeling a big mustache.

One of the cutest little small things! I love this pin!!

More little things (I love cherry blossom from b&b.see below)

The postcards from hotbettie included one of the LA river, Mexico and the Getty museum. Plus some funny Anne Taintor postcards (I'm also a terrible housekeeper).

A book and one of her favorite movies

(one of my favorites too!)
A copy of Bust magazine. I had a subscription to this for a long time. I haven't read it in about a year though, so this was great to see it!

Thanks hotbettie! I can't wait to get started on your next package!

24  Little animal inchies in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by squirrelgirl on: February 10, 2008 11:02:15 AM
I made these inchies for the inchie swap that is just finishing up. I was inspired to make all my inchies little cute animals after I read the latest issue of "Art & Life" magazine that has Teesha Moore's trip to Tokyo in it. All of the stickers and such in her journal were so cute!
I like the way they turned out and had a lot of fun making them. Thought I would share the whole group together.
I just painted with my acrylic paints on collaged chipboard.

25  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Round 7 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by squirrelgirl on: February 07, 2008 05:27:41 PM
After I finally found my camera (it was buried on my craft desk), I was able to take pics of the magic yarn ball I received from the Jenya.

First up all of the goodies in my ball. Jen really nailed my love of Hello Kitty and cute things! I put the gel pens in my purse so I can instantly jazz up anything that needs it when I am away from my massive gel pen collection at home.

The yarn is some of the fanciest feeling cotton yarn I have ever felt. I forget the brand, but it is so nice. Jen sent me the pattern for calorimetry. Which I have actually made a couple of times- but for other people! The next one is all mine!!

Jen also included issue one of a zine that she has recently started to draw for. The origin of the title is a hilarious story. I can't believe what people will tell kids.

Next up is some yarn for a fried egg cuff pattern that looks like fun. Maybe I can finally crochet that bacon scarf and be a meal. Also pictured is the cutest little hamster pen (also in my purse) and in the upper corner you can see the edges of two melamine cake plates (or pizza or pie or other triangle food).

This is an original collage art piece by Jen that features one of my favorite comics, Fables. I put it up by my craft desk.

Some really great stitch markers (What a cute idea!)

Some knitted sushi (which I discovered my cat Ouija loves to play with)

A cute little bag.

More stitch markers. There was also the cutest little stich marker/charm that was a little yarn ball. I put it on my necklace though. I might add the other stitch markers to it too!

And finally two pairs of earrings. I really love the teal and maroon pair!

Thanks Jen!! This was my first magic yarn ball swap and now I want some more!!

Here is how they came all wrapped up. So cute. I just had to scan it before I opened them.

Inside the little envelopes were all the little inchies that I had said I liked! I was so excited!

Thanks Sarcastra!!! Grin

Since Mnkymama is MIA, I'll post some photos of what I made for her. I went with a whole "monkey" theme.
I made her a record journal, record bowl, and record mail holder. All from "Monkee" records.

I also included some monkey pens!

Hope she liked it!
