I'm sure there was a thread for this ages ago, but it took me so long to finish I'm making a new one. I nearly completed this thing a couple of months ago, but then I ran out of yarn with 8 stitches left to cast off!! >__<;; I finally ripped out the cast off and did it again a little tighter, and it was done! Huzzah!

I was reluctant to start a project the size of the other, monstrous head-eating squid hat, so I decided to make this one. The original pattern was supposed to be for a baby, but when I knitted it, the hat was more or less big enough. I think it would've been better if I knitted it a bit bigger, but I figured if it didn't fit I would've turned it into a stuffed toy or something.
Incidentally, the original gauge was supposed to be 6 1/2 stitches to the inch, and I got 4 1/2 stitches.

I made one too! But I really wish I could find patters for things from the games I DO play, not that porings and headcrabs aren't kewl.

It's a lovely little jellyfish! the detail on the tentacles was really clever - she put little twists of ribbon in the tubes. Thanks muchly!!

And while we're on the subject of marine life, this is the tiny thing I made for tiph_thompson - a mermaid's purse! It's a coin purse about 4" long without the tentacles.

I got my package from mattbot the day before yesterday, here are the pics!

This is the famous and completely fictional two headed devil child from Germany!


And an apron with their picture appliquéd onto it, something that might be useful if I ever take up painting or printmaking again.


I also got a kewl mix cd with an insert that featured mattbot's particular brand of collaged imagery. I would've taken a picture, but I left it at work.

Mattbot got his package! I will take the liberty of posting pics of the stuff I sent . . . now!
They are a coptic bound sketchbook with a poster drawn on the cover, and a teddy bear with a conjoined twin. I had wanted to put the bear in a jar, but the jar I would need would've been large, heavy, and expensive to ship.

it looks like ktkntr hasn't posted pics of the thing I sent her, so I guess I'll do it. I'd already posted pics in the toys section, but it got kinda buried.

I found this adorable rhinoceros beetle pattern from the crafting japanese site, but I don't quite understand how the increases past the illustrated diagram work, even after I ran them through babelfish. The diagram for the body only goes to round 6, but the instructions say:
"The chain" 8 eyes is made
1st step small knitting 18 eye
2nd from step 5th to step 1 - 6 - 4 increases
6th step that way
7th step 1 - 6 - 1 increases
8th 10th to step that way from step
I understand that the 6th and the last 3 rounds are even, but I don't know how to interpret the 1 - 6 - 1 increase on the 7th round.
This is the diagram for the body, if you can correlate the numbers 1 - 6 - 4 with the increases shown, and figure out what 1 - 6 - 1 means.

Hey, I got my tiny thing from hubbyoed yesterday! It's an adorable little pouch/coin purse with a fish print, since I'm into things aquatic! Thanks!

I made this critter for the One Tiny Thing swap, and I wanted to show it off before my partner received it. I called it a 'squirbbit' 
It was actually quite complex to make, since I love plushies but I prefer ones that are in full 3-D instead of just a front and a back sewn together.
