1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / new 2-layer ruffle skirt with matching hairband on: February 05, 2006 02:00:23 PM
Made this from stretchy material that was super cheap.. I love how it turned out!

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / pants to skirt! on: February 02, 2006 04:50:58 PM

I took some old tommy hilfiger pants that were too wide and too short (perfect to reconstruct!) and made this skirt. I always make the band too short to ruffle enough, oh well. And yes, my cat REALLY wanted to be in the pic.

Thanks for looking!
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / my first skirt from scratch! on: February 02, 2006 04:43:31 PM
SO I decided to make a skirt from scratch with some black cotton fabric. It's not very easy to see but this is how it turned out:

It's basic, but it turned out better then I expected! The ruffles suck though because they go a little upwards. Anyway, I was thinking, this skirt is quite boring like this. I have some felt but have NO ideas on what to make. This is the felt I have (click for large pic)

The pieces are not big but I want to make something small. I thought about an ice-cream or something, but I'm not sure.. any tips? Is it even possible to use vilt on clothes?
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / kimono top on: April 30, 2005 09:37:46 AM
I made a kimono top the other day. The first time I made something for the 'top' part of my body! Grin I think the arms-part turned out a bit extreme so I am selling it on ebay.

It can be found on ebay here--> http://cgi.ebay.nl/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6764932068
5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New girly jordy bag on: April 17, 2005 03:25:00 AM

Whohoo I'm so excited! My bag turned out better then I thought!
6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / my summer skirt on: April 10, 2005 08:30:35 AM
Hi! This is the first time I made something like this. What do you guys think? (By the way, I have some fabric left and I'm planning to make a matching handbag too). Oh and the fabric was only 1 euro a metre! ($1,25 for 1,3 yard)

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / pants ideas on: March 31, 2005 08:45:51 AM
Hi! I just found a pair of black tommy hilfiger pants in my closet that look ridiculous (at the ankles they are super tight.. ugh!) but the top part (butt) fits perfectly and is perfect (now that's rare for me). So now I don't know what to do with it. I want to make something out of it to wear, but I'm out of inspiration. A skirt would be nice, but I don't want to make another one with ruffles on the bottom. I need skirt inspiration that's not so hard to make. Or some other ideas maybe. Pics and tuts would be great! Thanks!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / First jordy bag :) on: March 29, 2005 12:56:26 PM
Hi! I just made a jordy bag (my first) and it turned out very small (but kinda cute). Now I can't decide, should I keep it or try to sell it, becouse I have a lot of this fabric left and I would like to have a bigger bag (and I have some nice ideas like extra stuff)

9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / price of fabrics on: March 27, 2005 05:45:50 AM
Hi! I was wondering, how much do you guys spend on fabrics? They can get pretty expensive! (thank god we have a market where most fabrics are 1 euro (about 1,30 dollar) a meter)
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / jeans to skirt on: March 27, 2005 05:42:25 AM
Hi, this is my first post here Smiley Last night I made a skirt out of a pair of jeans that were comfy, but VERY high (up to my bellybutton) and just looked stupid. My first real reconstruction! (and I got a lot of compliments on it!  Grin )
