1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Completed Projects / Phineas&Ferb Shirt on: December 02, 2011 09:45:34 AM
Hey everyone,

This was the first time I customized a shirt and worked with freezer paper (really love it!)
It's a Christmas gift for my nephew, who loves soccer and watching the cartoon Phineas&Ferb....so I painted the character's with a soccerball and the first letter of his first name.

2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Stenciling: Discussion and Questions / how to prevent "cracking" textile on: October 31, 2011 10:33:10 AM
Hello all Stencilers!

I have kind of a problem and wonder if you could help me:)
Currently I'm (trying) painting a shirt with Posca Markers&freezer paper. The markers are really awesome, however when I'm trying to piant inside the stencil I get all these loose threads (rippling/crackling textile?) which makes it quite hard to paint and for the paint to cover well. The threads start sticking to the tip etc.

Does anyone have any advice on how to prevent this? (since I'm not really good with a brush for detailed stuff and I don't have any textile paints.)
3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Hello from The Netherlands! on: August 21, 2011 08:35:35 AM
Hi everyone!

First I'd like to give credit to all the creative crafty peeps on here! I've been lurking for a while here now and I see so much cool stuff and in various different type of crafts...and what strucks me the most is the interdisciplinary craft skills of so much Craftsters on here!
There are so many things I'd like to learn&make,so I hope this community can help me get started....and that I'll eventually be able to share some cool stuff too;) (I'd really ;ove to be able to embroider designs on tshirts, caps etc.,but I don't even have a sewing machine or know how to work one Roll Eyes)

Some of my stuff can be found here: www.cargocollective.com/sculmully (only digital)  and http://sculmully.deviantart.com/ (with some craft related stuff too)
