 Shocked.......Silly...kee p both of them...then u always have a backup machine...

you might find one does better for heavy duty sewing and the other may be
better for other things..say zippers or hemming or what not...i myself have several machines...right now i keep dark thread in one and white thread in the other....call me a machine ho!!!!!

the only thing i can think of would be....is there a tube of chapstick or lip palm in the washer or dryer??
my daughter was good for leaving them in her pants pockets when she was a teenager and she did
here OWN laundry so she ruined MANY things back then.....

Thanks ladies....but....it did come with the manual. BUt i am having trouble understanding it when it comes to the decorative stitches, and mind you i have been sewing for OVER 50 yrs!!!! sometimes it is HARD  to teach an OLD dog NEW tricks.... i had NO trouble using the the kenmore 6 stitch and the 12 stitch...but having trouble with this one!!! i know it is probably soooooo simple i am missing it completely, but i am NOT giving up...I WILL  perservere....LOL

I say go with a Brother...I bought a cs8072 back in 2003 and I  L-O-V-E   it...
it has never given me any trouble...and i also bought a brother vx1120 at a garage
sale for 3$ and with a few minor adjustments it is working GREAT...good luck in
your decision...
