That's amazing, so awesome!  I love the idea behind it, and it's a really great way to memorialize someone who's gone.

Very pretty!  I like the striation in the clay around the leaf-shape, it looks almost like veins in a leaf.

That's really cool!  I love the velvety look of the mums; if I saw it in person, I would want to pet them.

This is awesome!  It's totally getting added to my list of things to try soon, because it looks so amazing.  And the tutorial is great, I can't wait to try it myself.
95  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: I need some inspiration!! on: September 01, 2011 06:54:53 PM
I don't know if this would be a good idea, but something that occurred to me was something like making puzzles - taking a picture, pasting it to cardboard, and cutting it with scissors (or, if it would be safe, X-actos) into shapes?

The other one, and I actually feel like this one might be more iffy, would be making mosaics.  Using small tiles, or pieces of plastic (either stuff like cut up frisbees and plastic plates, or something else) to make whatever patterns and pictures they wanted to.

No idea if what I just said made sense, but both seemed like ideas that they could do without having to worry too much about poor manual dexterity.

Once they're off the sticks, they could be used to make a sort of holiday/awesome outdoor party decoration if they were hung from trees outside on fishing line?  Sort of like they were floating; it would be a cool, easy scare-crow, too.

You could do the same thing inside as well, for holiday parties and things like that, only dangling from the ceiling instead.

I LOVE the idea of pinwheels hooked on to suction cups and stuck to windows.

I just started mine, and it's a crochet blog now, but might turn into more later (I'm trying to get things together to open my own yarn store).

But for now, it's http://adventurouscrochet.blogspot.com/
