21  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Stamped and backfilled hanging tree dec + tutorial on: January 17, 2012 09:17:25 AM
I was actually shocked to find out the thumbnail wasn't painted!  They're so pretty, and it seems like a pretty simple process.  Thanks for the awesome tut!

Those are adorable!

I will confess though, that in the thumb on the front page, I thought "did someone make panchetta earrings?  Wait, no, cinnamon rolls!"
23  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: October Snowstorm Hat on: January 05, 2012 12:17:59 PM
That pattern was my first hat, and it's just so easy to do!  The colors you picked look great with the texture, it looks almost like lace!

Awesome.  I want one!

Oh, that's too cool!  I thought it was a regular snowflake too, but it's even better!  Is there a template for it somewhere, or did you come up with it on your own?
26  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: The random RESIN question thread! on: December 12, 2011 07:02:24 PM
I went out today and bought my first bottles of resin.  I've got a few, maybe stupid, questions, though.

I got the Castin' Craft "EasyCast Clear Casting Epoxy" - it tells me to do even parts, which is comforting - I plan to use it to fill over pictures inside bezels.  Will that work?

It's a little intimidating - I bought this because the only other resin they had at Michael's (I had a coupon!) was a 1-bottle UV resin, and as it's winter, I wasn't sure it would cure well.  Would it have, or would I have needed to get a UV lamp or something like that?

I got my last package (from the lovely and talented Miss Barbara) today!  She made me a pair of crocheted cases for my iPhone - hilariously, my phone stopped working the day after she sent these guys out!  But, thankfully, I got a replacement, and these both fit it perfectly!

I got my package from Chrmisha today, and will post pictures when I get a chance to connect my camera up tonight.  But they're so pretty, and so much detail went into the whole thing!  It's amazing!

Edit: Pictures!  OMG I have so many!

I took pictures of EVERYTHING, since even the packaging was cool!  Firstly, the picture on the outside of the box:

Yay Hogwarts!

Inside was a letter from Chrmisha:

On Hogwarts stationary!

Apparently, my ornaments were part of Winky's rehab arts and crafts Cheesy

One of the envelopes even had the Hogwarts seal pressed in wax!

Here's the group shot!

I forgot to take a picture of the key by itself, but it's so pretty and detailed!  I kinda want to wear it as a necklace!

There's a Remembrall!:

A circle set with the house crests in bottlecaps and the Hogwarts crest on the bottom!

And some money from Gringott's!  A Galleon, a Sickle, and a Knut, all strung together!

Thanks so much, Chris!  Everything is awesome, and I'm astonished at how fast you got everything done!  Can't wait to get these guys up on the tree!

I'll probably be shipping out my last claim (heading to TroubleT) today on my way to work.  Which means that, at best, I'll have the DC# pm'd out by 11pm tonight (my iPhone self-destructed two nights ago, and I ain't got the money to replace, so I'm using Justin's dinosaur phone until I can figure something out, which means no email on the phone).

Everything everyone's made is so cool!  I love how super-creative and skilled we all are!
