Project Name: Italian Sausage Lasagne
Project Page Link (if available):
Brief Description: To make my SO feel better and to provide him with much needed calories and deliciousness after a hard day running a lawn company, I made him an italian sausage lasagne.
Project Picture:

I used this recipe http://allrecipes.com/recipe/easy-italian-sausage-lasagna as a starting point, but I didn't use that specific brand of sausage. Also, I sauteed some garlic, onions and green bell peppers with the sausage and I just kind of threw in a bunch of various herbs from my garden, as well as the recommended italian seasoning. I never really follow a recipe exactly, but I always use one as a start.

On another note, I will probably be posting up a storm in a few days. My partner in the 13 days of Halloween swap will start opening soon, so I will be putting up a bunch of projects when that happens.

I sent out days 13-7 yesterday, and it took me forever to get it packed up. I did a couple of flat rate boxes (a medium and a large) for these days, but I don't know what I'm going to do for days 6-1 because those items are a lot larger and probably more fragile. We'll just have to wait and see I guess...  Smiley

I have a couple finishing touches to put on a couple things, but my first package should be ready to send on Friday!

Still crafting steady on everything I have left to make, and I just ordered a couple of things for the non-crafted side.

Today I made a big batch of minestrone in my crockpot, which I'm planning on freezing in single servings. I also put together a batch of tandoori chicken that I'm freezing dump style.

I do still have some pork and chicken to get thrown into something today. Just doing a little research now to find some new recipes.

I lurked on the board throughout the summer semester, and I have finally arrived at Hogwarts as a SLYTHERIN!

I will be posting my completed first assignment shortly...

I'm so happy to find this thread! I started bulk cooking about 2 weeks ago, and I now have over a week's worth of meals in the freezer. It's only my boyfriend and me that I cook for, so I put everything up in meals for 2, so I'm saving a lot of money. Also, he works days and I work nights, so it let's me cook even when we can't eat together. I love it!

Oh, and in the freezer right now (after being raided a number of times since I started):
- 3 or 4 seasoned hamburger patties (originally there were 8 )
- 1 Mexican style chicken for 1-2 people, heat and serve (originally 3)
- 3ish cups of Mexican style chicken broth (for future use in something as yet undetermined)
- 1 chili lime marinated chicken pack (originally 2) from a dump marinade recipe
- 1 teriyaki marinated chicken pack (originally 2) from a dump marinade recipe
- 3 chicken tikka masala for 2 people, heat and serve (I made and froze those today)

I also have pork chops, chicken, italian sausage and some ground beef in the fridge that I will be working on putting up tomorrow.

To answer the movie question, I love Nightmare Before Christmas, Shaun of the Dead, The Lost Boys, the original Night of the Living Dead, and most all Halloween movies, really.

I finished 4 and 1/4 items today, and I'm still crafting away. At least that's what I plan to do with the remainder of my night.
