Does anyone know of any sites that would have free sewing patterns for cabbage patch kids??? I'm going out of state to see my nieces and one of them just had a birthday and got a few cabbage patches. I want to make some clothes for them but can't seem to find a single sewing pattern online. I don't have time to actually buy one and wait for it to get here cause I'm leaving later this week. I only sew and knitting patterns seem to be the only ones I can find. Or if you know the measurements for the doll that would be great too! It'll be a newer one and the kid size, not the babies. Any help would be wonderful!! Thank you!!
I made this out of an old binder. I used duct tape, constrution paper, magazine clippings and whatever else I could get a hold of! I'm using it for my papers, stickers, patterns, ideas and stuff like that.
Inside: (The flap thing is made from a piece of vinyl.)
I had fun making it. Let me know what you think and thanks for looking.
I used this site: http://www.taunton.com/threads/pages/t00002_p2.asp and made myself a dress form! Its first layer is duct tape and then I used just plain old masking tape. And I stuffed it with old clothes! I had to have my mom help me of course. She enjoyed taping me up a little too much, I think, lol.
My kitty, Oatmeal, had to be on the top to make the picture more interesting, heh.
Let me know what you think!
(hope this is in the right place. I couldn't think of anywhere else it could go though.)
I'm going to be moving soon and I thought I might need another travel bag to maybe carry some of my craft stuff in. So! Here's what I made:
It has 4 pockets on the inside (one with a zipper) and one pocket on the outside. I like it. It's my first time ever using a store bought pattern. I swear I'm a total dummy, lol. It took me forever to figure out some of the simplest things. I think it's easier on me to try and figure things out on my own instead of reading instructions, lol. But I got it done and I like how it turned out. Let me know what you think! Comments are greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking!
I finished this bag today. It took me 3 days because my sewing machine decided to act like a total jerk. The first day I started making it I ended up breaking all 4 of my needles and then today I broke 4 more. I'm not sure what's going on with my machine but I always seem to mess them up when I join swaps when there's a time limit and everything. :/ But anyway here's my purse, a purse I made for my mom and my new lobster coin purse (I love it. ).
The stupid bag that broke 8 needles:
Close up of the Fabric: (it's an off white color with light blue floral print on it.)
My mom's bag: (it's a lavender, shiny, thin fabric.)
And my favorite: My Lobster coin purse.
Thanks for looking. Comments are very welcome! And if you know what could be wrong with my machine or have any ideas, I'd love to know that too, lol. I'm all out of ideas. (I made sure all the broken pieces weren't in there anymore and everything. I don't know what else it could be. ) Thank you!!!
I joined the Fill a coin purse swap like over a month ago. Well I completed the swap, my partner received her stuff and liked it but I haven't got any feedback and I'd really like to join more swaps. Like the Fill a purse swap I signed up for thinking I'd have feedback in time to be accepted but the organizer of the fill a coin purse swap hasn't been around for almost a month. The join up time ended June 10th for that swap, so that was a little disappointing. I don't mean to gripe or anything, I'm sure the organizer has a great reason to not be around and stuff, but it's a little frustrating cause it's been so long and I still have no feedback what so ever. I really want to join more swaps too. Can anyone help me or know what I should do? I've PMed the organizer and even checked on her aim but she's never around. *shrugs* It's just been a long time and I haven't heard anything and thought I'd leave a topic here to see if anyone could help. If you could, that would be great! Thank you,.
I decided to try at those super cute zipper pouches from e.r.i.ka 's tutorial here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=22875.0 I ended up making 5 of them last night. The green spot one with the fish was my first try so I messed up a little on the zipper part. But it was tons of fun making these, so thanks a lot e.r.i.k.a for the easy to understand tutorial.
My first attempt. I didn't want it to be too boring so I added a little fishy to it. It's got yellow lining.
My second one. I made this one for my mom. Here's a picture of the lining. It's got some weird garden type things on it.
My third one. I didn't want it to be too boring either so I added a little lightning bolt. It's got the same yellow lining.
I made those two Sponge Bob ones for 2 of my nieces. They were begging for me to make them something too. They also have the same yellow lining.
Let me know what you think. I'm gonna try to get some more fabrics tomorrow and I'll be making tons more of these. Lots of fun and easy to make.
I made this bag for the spring challenge last night. (Well, I bought the fabric and button a while back but had not done anything with them yet till I saw the Spring Challenge and was like "those fabrics are nice and springy!" ) Anyway, it's made out of green cotton fabric with white polka dots and the inside is plain yellow cotton. I bought it all at Wal-Mart cause I'm cheap like that. I'm still a beginner at sewing, so it's not perfect. And I had tons of trouble with the zipper, lol, had no idea what to do and was too lazy to look up instructions. But I figured something out and it works, so yay. I also made the pattern and everything myself too. Let me know what you think of it. Thanks!
And the inside: Not a good picture but it has a pocket.
I just got done making these 4 little coin purses. I wanted to make something quick and fun to put me in a crafty mood, so these were perfect. They're all made out of craft felt and as you can see I'm sort of limited in my felt colors. :\ Once I get paid though, I'm gonna go buy tons of differnet colors and make many more of these. Lots of fun.
