1  Re: 50 Projects 2016---Busy Hands are Happy Hands! in Craftalongs by carolmb on: July 28, 2016 07:30:10 PM
I just haven't really had the heart to craft much this summer.

My husband would of been 69 a couple days ago. I have been so down in the dumps and feeling so a lone.
Today I made myself break out the embroidery machine and learn to use it a little LOL

I had saved 10 of his button down shirts to make memory pillows for the kids and grandkids. Today I made myself do one. It helped so very much I am learning to use the embroidery machine so it is far from perfect, but it made me happier

well and wonderment

I got two baby quilts done so that is something LOL

The first one was done with blocks from the last round of the Quilt Block Swap, thanks to all my partners for their amazing work!
First one front

Back

This one I loved the fabric and they had this pattern as a freebie to use the fabric line with so I did. Turned out very nice
second Front:

back:

When my daughter comes next month so we can scatter my late husbands (her step fathers) ashes at the Coast, she will take back both of these for her co-workers.

I needed something to think about other then death so I said I would make quilts for her to give as gifts.
it helped

well and wonderment

My daughters partner is really into Dr Who. So I came across these patterns and created a gift set for his birthday.

The fourth item for the Dr Who set I have been working on is just about done. just need to add snaps to the blazer and make a sonic screwdriver out of clay and he will be done.

I will get some better pictures when I post to the crochet board the whole set.

10th Doctor
