1  CLOTHING / Shoes: Discussion and Questions / I am going to make shoes to match some gloves. on: June 09, 2012 12:55:35 PM
i don't have an actual reason to post this yet, except that if i post it i will almost certainly follow through with it. for anyone who saw my first post, sorry but i gave up on my neckwarmer after realizing that i don't wear neckwarmers. soooo, it will be an orange pair of shoes, i dont know what type. they will look like tiny braided rag rugs under my feet. again, dont know what type, so i dont know what will be on top of my feet. maybe they will be sandals. any suggestions would be nice, since ill make the bottoms first.
2  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Discussion and Questions / I want to make a rug for my bedroom from scraps. i need a method. on: May 29, 2012 03:58:56 PM
okay, this rug will be white and blue, again i am using fabric scraps, it will be a quarter circle and its radius is four feet.

question is, how do i go about actually making it? i wanted to make a braided rag rug, but how would i do the corner?

keep in mind its a rug, so i dont want layers of stacked fabric, like a mat. i want something relatively ruggy.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crocheted Set (Still Growing!) on: April 03, 2012 10:52:12 PM

Hi Craftsters! This here's my first post, and I just realized that I did have something worth sharing. Sorry, but I may take a day or two to have pictures for you all. It is my progress on a winter set that i started last summer and have used ever since. Really, the bag was so i could learn how my crochet looked, and the gloves and neckwarmer are for winter. My crochet improved as I made each thing, and currently, I have, chronologically,

-a bag to hold my phone, but really will be used whenever I'm not wearing something with pockets( I ALWAYS have at least four pockets on my outfits, but in events where i need a fancy pocketless dress, this is a lifesaver)

-a pair of gloves without fingertips (I call em hobo gloves, because I have yarn ends sticking out everywhere Wink)

-a neck warmer ( I'm trying to figure out how to make it longer, because it currently chokes me a bit, and I already have a trim on the ends, so I'm looking up how to expand from the middle)

-next up, I'll be working on shoes. I will probably attach them to flip flops, so as to have a durable bottom, because otherwise it would be like walking around getting socks dirty.

Like i said, sorry for the lack of pictures, hope this excites someone as much as other stuff on here excites me.
5  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Newbie97 here, on: November 26, 2011 10:55:16 AM
Hola plz, I am actually not a mom or grandma like most crafters I see here. I am young enough to be in school, and I am often given quizzical looks because I am crocheting or beading or playing with some homemade clay.  I. Currently am into crochet, clay, and beading, but at some point or another, I have been into every topic under 'community' except for Bath n beauty, image reproduction techniques, and quilting. I really like to dabble in different things and come back to them in a few years, so I think tat Craftster is a good place for me!

-yeah, I'm a little crazy.
