1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Halloween Tree on: November 02, 2011 02:23:00 PM
It's absolutely lovely! I love your cat, and the tree is amazing... I'll have to try stitching on fleece, that does give it a really nice feel!
2  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / First Halloween! on: November 02, 2011 01:49:50 PM
My daughter hated the lion costume I bought her, so I ended up having to come up with a quick and easy to make costume for her. Took me about an hour to complete (lots of cutting and tying, but otherwise super simple) and she loved it.
Here are the pictures:

4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tara McPherson love on: August 19, 2011 10:08:28 AM
I love the artist Tara McPherson and am doing a hoop project for my daughter's room. Basically the entirety of the ceiling is going to be hung with hoops that she can look at, like a giant mobile.
I just took up embroidery for this and this was my first project as well, took me about two days to finish (while taking care of a 4 month old).
I love Tara's balloons and decided that two of them should fall in love. Her drawings are a bit more rounded but I gave mine a more squiggly appearance on purpose.

Link is here, as I'm a new member!

I'm not very good with the camera yet, but I hope you enjoy!

Oh how inspiring! I'm just starting out learning how to sew (my newborn daughter is my inspiration) and I hope that in a few years I'll be able to come up with such elegant yet fun designs!
9  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: Left over material= 26 toys for shelter cats on: August 09, 2011 04:46:23 AM
What a great idea! I've been putting all my scraps in a bag, but thinking of getting rid of it because all the pieces are too small for toys etc... but this is perfect!
Thank you for the inspiration
