Here's another idea of using scrap fabrics left from other projects!
I can't even remember why I bought this transparent plastic bangle a few years ago! Maybe I found it at a bargain price or something, but now I find it really ugly. So I knew I had to do something with it!
I had this beautiful floral patterned fabric left from a skirt I shortened. The piece had some buttons, which I took off, and was to to three long parts. Ι folded the sides and ironed them, because I didn't want any loose ends. You can see the top piece still has the pins. In some cases, for security, I also glued the folded sides.
I saw that many prefer to use ribbons. This surly takes out all that trouble of "hemming" the fabric, but my main purpose of doing this is using all those scraps that fill my drawers! So, the process onwards is quite standard. Wrap the fabric around the bangle till the end securing it with glue from time to time. (Don't you love that craftster quote saying "Made with love. And glue. Lots of glue!")
By the way, if you don't have a bangle, or you don't want to waste one, you can make one on your own using lol-lol 's tutorial http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=123500.0
Here's the final project!
