3  Re: Lets Get Foxy now show me your Hooters! Owl and Fox Swap Gallery in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by jasminewolverine on: May 29, 2012 06:15:16 PM
Holy amazing packages, batman! Totally awesome gallery that is about to get awesomer (even though that's not a word)! Here is the haul I received from WhimsicallyObsessed today!

Super cute fox drawing on the box!

A lovely letter with a bright fox and owl painting! I love the vibrant colors!

Jewelry, hair accessories, and fox and owl stitch markers! I love the hair clip and headband, and the necklaces are too cute. The stitch markers are already in my little stitch marker box Cheesy

A pair of matching paintings! The fox and owl are both 3-d and come off the canvas a bit. I love the framed look with the glittery border!

And last but not least, a crocheted wall hanging! It's hard to pick a favorite item, but I think this would be it. I love the colors and the bohemian style to it. It's crocheted, appliqued, embroidered... a total melange of techniques!

Also included, but not pictured (because they are half eaten already Cheesy) were some amazing homemade mint chocolate cookies! They remind me of Girl Scout thin mint cookies (my fave GS cookies) only much improved!

Thank you so much! I love everything! It was so fun swapping with you and I hope you like everything I mailed your way as much as I enjoyed your box!!!

I received my awesome piece today!

It's funny, because there's no way my partner could have known that I grew up on Mario Bros games and am a Nintendo fanatic! Cheesy

Thanks, mystery partner! (she didn't include her craftster name.... ooooo the mystery! Smiley )

Here is the awesome little mixed media piece I received from kwality570 today!

I love cute monsters! And there is a neat texture to the background that is hard to capture in the photo... and there is even sparkly paint! Thank you so much, kwality570! Cheesy

For my flora/flowers theme!

My ocean theme... I love starfish! So cute!

Positive thinking!

And my favorite, positive thinking AND cats! The pink also has a glittery coating, like the other pages. I love glitter. Cheesy

Pioneer9 also sent me some extra papercrafting goodies!

Thanks so much! I love my pages! Cheesy

Here are the awesome pages I received from Smmarrt! I tinkered with the photos in PSP today to try and get them to look as vibrant and awesome as they do in real life. Cheesy

One page for my ocean theme... I love the poem and the serene feeling!

And these two that are about creativitiy and making art! I love them!

I love the little details in the stamps, the sewing (I didn't even think of that!) and the bright colors! Thanks so much! Cheesy

Also, Smmarrt, don't stress about the pages, the ones I sent you were small anyway and the ones I received were huge! I didn't realize that 8.5 x 11 was such a large size for art journalling. Tongue

I did remember to take pictures, even though I could not get the lighting right to save my life!

The first two were based on pioneer9s vintage and girl power themes:

I really had a ton of fun with these two, based on the theme of 'whimsical monsters':

I'm glad you liked them! Cheesy

Here are the goodies I received from KirBee this week!

A pillow with sea slugs on it! They are too cute! I couldn't get a good shot of the brain coral on the lower left hand corner, but the embroidery on it is awesome!

Close-ups:

A couple of glass tumblers with jellyfish on them! She etched them herself, I was in awe!

And a cute set of sea themed magnets! Already holding stuff up on my fridge. Tongue

Thanks so much, KirBee!

What an awesome package! The cake pops look delicious, and I especially love the hoop! Super stuff, TheBrokenButterfly!

I also received from my great partner, franknhurter! I had planned on waiting until the light was better (it's grey and awful today) but I just couldn't wait. Cheesy These are out of order, but what can you do!

Something FUNNY!

I laughed so hard when I unwrapped it. Chocolate wrapped in yarn! The chocolate bar and chocolate milk mix have since been devoured and the chips are going into cookies today. I love the yarn, it's mmmmMalabrigo! As soon as I opened the package I hopped on Ravelry to brainstorm what I'm going to make with it!

Something LOCAL, and a T something!

The socks are made by a local company and have yarn, scissors, and knitting needles on them! How perfect! The yarn is an amazingly gorgeous "T"urquoise color and I'm itching to start something with it! Also pictured is the Malabrigo after I wound it up into a ball.

Something HARD, and SENDER'S CHOICE

A great pair of scissors in their own case (which is great, because I've been using a pair of kid scissors forever!) and an AWESOME knitting notions booklet! Here's the inside of the booklet:

My partner really pegged down my interests, I love Hello Kitty, pink, AND rainbows! The charms on the needle tip protectors are adorable!

Something GREEN!

Definitely my new favorite reusable carryall! I love the fabric, and it is super sturdy and even has a big inside pocket! Perfect for errands, knit night, and library runs!

And the whole haul, including my something ROUND, which I am wearing, and the cute card she sent with the package that has a photo of neat handspun art yarn on it!

The round item is a crocheted headband that I've had on my queue forever but have never gotten around to making... and now I have one of my very own! The color combination is perfect!

I was so thrilled with my package! Franknhurter, you have been an awesome partner and I can't thank you enough!
