11  FIBER ARTS / Spinning: Discussion and Questions / Sheep Shed Dyesoppers on: October 04, 2011 07:20:56 AM
hello all! i'm just learning spinning, and being a thrifty person (and being told i wasn't allowed to max out the credit card  Wink) i hunted around and found that my best deal to start was buying a drop spindle from Babe's Fiber Garden and a pound of wool from Sheep Shed. i purchased a pound of Dyesoppers, and i was wondering if anyone had worked with them yet. its isn't pre-processed into batts or anything, so i was wondering what i would need to do to prepare it to spin. its supposed to come in before my spindle, so i'll have a few days to learn to prepare it. i'm basically looking for suggestions for where to start. i've read a lot of material, but i'm still slightly confused. any thoughts would be appreciated, be they conventional or otherwise!  Smiley
