21  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Re: Zombie Unicorn Inspired by My Little Pony on: August 06, 2012 08:51:53 AM
WOW just wow, thought it was porcelain at first, very smooth. Do you use an armature of some sort to build around?

WOW that hoop! that's some amazing skill and detail.

So here are the amazing goodies I received from Adrienne_Bowers. I received them about a week ago, slow at getting camera space so there are only a few wide shots of all the gifts (so many to photograph). Here they are Smiley

Everything laid out for pictures. There's a beaded purse, a dear pincushion, a gnome, paper lamp, a vintage dress pattern, a cat calendar, a kitschmas book, marie antoinette picture, two bracelets, some bakeware, a whimsie jar, and a very pretty pillow case..there's more little goodies but i can't see them all in the picture.

Many of the things were in the whimsie jar or the surprise ball which i got too excited and forgot to take a picture of Sad. anyway this was the aftermath of my first surprise ball encounter... needless to say, my hands were a little wrapped up after

and some close ups:

Here are my favorites from my awesome swap partner

and check out my new and old beaded clutches Smiley i love them both so much (the old on the left and my new one on the right)

Well I've made/bought quite a few things for my partner as I really didn't have a lot to go off of!!  LOL   But I would like to make one more item and then I'll be ready to send!

whatever you made will be great I'm sure! Like I said, I love ALL things vintage Smiley and be ready for your little surprises, my nephew got into our vintage toys and ripped all of the packages open so I don't feel bad at all sharing some with you Smiley

Almost done with my first craft, and I'm definitely happy I spent all of my last semester ceramics working on relief carving because carving poly clay is harder than stoneware, but it turned out good. Trying to figure out how to start the next projects now...decisions decisions

so excited, i've been stalking my local thrift shops for anything truly vintage to alter or just send. I believe they are all getting sick of seeing me Smiley

your attention to detail is beyond words, i wish all costume designers cared as much as you do about the details. Smiley great work
30  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Where can I get materials to pretty up a Pram? on: May 12, 2012 09:44:26 PM
thanks everyone. To PerfectlyBohemian, it isn't that damage just a little rusted on the frame, i'll try that jelly stuff and see if it works. To Diesels_Mom I bought it for $99 which was a steal, i looked online and they ranged from $300 to $1000+. The hood and the exterior of the carriage are in great shape but I was hoping to change it to black and white instead of olive green, the interior is a bit ripped up and made of some plastic-like material. Everything is original on it, but I'm not too worried about the antique value of it because I'm not planning to give it up Smiley it is definitely the best impulse buy ever. the biggest part I am worried about is the paint, because I don't want to ruin it but I would love to change it's color.
