1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Back to Hogwarts 3 Gallery on: October 10, 2012 12:35:33 AM
Finally my life has returned to normal and I can spend some relaxing time on the internet! I hope I get this right, just want to let you all know your crafting is clever:

Pottermouth: I think the key chain you made is especially imaginative!
Eiseldora: You really spoiled your partner!
Libertine49: Fantastic work on your first swap, that bag is nicely done!
AugustBell: I really like your twist on the Fantastic Beast book!
TheBrokenButterfly: I especially like the hoop!
Whenindoubtsew: Im one lucky swap partner!

Here are the goodies I received from whenindoubtsew, prepare yourselves...

This is the small. I know, nothing small about it! I was very spoiled. She admits she cheated (in a good way) and did a little from both of my favourite shops. From Twillfitt and Tattings we have a dress form pincushion: what an amazing idea! From Madam Pimpernelle's there is a perfume locket and a sugar scrub. In addition to all of this there is a makeup bag with some house goodies in it (earrings, four hair pins and bracelet).

Have you recovered? Well now prepare yourself for...

...the medium! Favourite house, Slytherin. I listed a bunch of things that may give her ides of what to craft. I expected I would receive maybe one of them. I received pretty much all of them! Tea towels, a pot holder and 2 mugs, all crafted with care.

Finally...

...the large! Favourite class, Herbology. Can you possibly believe she made me pajama pants from a herb print material, sewed slippers lined with the same herb print material and screen printed a Herbology pajama top!

Needless to say I am very overwhelmed and grateful!
Thank you whenindoubtsew  Smiley

Everyone has been receiving amazing things and I am no exception: I have received and will be posting photos as soon as possible so I can share my excitement  Wink

What imagination. When I'm thinking of what to craft "umbrella" has honestly never crossed my mind: somebodies imagination beats my imagination to bits!

Hi everyone,

My update: sorry I haven't bee on Craftster a lot lately, life become unexpectedly hectic which I'm pretty sure everyone on here can identify with, one of the reasons this community is so great. So online appearances have been infrequent but actual crafting has been frequent so I'm hoping that counts for something Smiley

Small: done
Medium: very almost done...this quiet weekend will be used wisely Wink
Large: done

Really looking forward to sending them out, hope my partner likes them and am sure I will like anything she has made me Smiley

Thought I had finished the small but decided it could be even better if I tweaked a few things so it's back in the 'projects I'm working on' category. Have almost completed the large and that's been so much fun I don't actually want it to be done but it will be eventually Smiley Still refining plans for the medium: I know what I want to do but can't figure out how best to do it.

That's my update, hope you're all having fun too!

Things are going very well here! Really enjoying crafting for my partner and everything's coming together nicely!

Because I have a great partner who had an inspiring questionnaire I sat down last night a drew up the plans for her crafts: seeing them sketched out gives me a chance to see if anything needs improving or changing and it has the added bonus of making you feel like it's already made a little! I can pick up my supplies and start assembling them into crafts with confidence now so crafting with confidence will start tonight. Hate crafting without confidence. Or coffee  Wink

when I start a craft project it graduates from the computer desk to the coffee table and by the time it hits the dining table it's pretty much complete  Wink

teag: not only does the journal look great but if I had just the cover I'd frame it  Smiley

The cover, believe it or not is cardboard from  a cereal box, a paper napkin, some mod podge and paint very easy and very inexpensive to do.

Knowing that makes me love it so much more.
