Yep, I also love the detail of the road inside the box and that beaded strand of DNA is very clever! That's the great thing about this swap, everything is so small it's a bunch of details that would be lost on something bigger.

FrankSpinello has received from me and we agreed I'd post pics for her.

I chose her tree theme, small rodent theme and bee theme.

- a wooden squirrel brooch (it lives in the tree)
- 2 glass beads (hoarded by the squirrel)
- 'dew drop' earrings
- foliage ring
- wooden bee magnet

I'm a little worried because it doesn't look like much in the pic but I can assure you I couldn't fit anything else in!

Have a look at what I received from QueenofMarigold!

I was very amazed and I think you will be too  Grin

She followed both my colour theme and my "make do and mend" theme and came up with....this!

Yes adorable but keep looking, I opened it up to find... this!

A perfect little needle book which will be put to use right away and shown off to people at every opportunity.

Under that was... this!

Yep, a little mini matchbox with a separate little draw at each end containing goodies. Under this were two pretty paper cut outs which I forgot to photograph apparently (sorry) but will use in a project soon.

Thanks for letting me share my excitement and thank you QueenofMarigold for sending me such a little treasure!

Wow! What beautiful crafts! That book looks especially nice, can't see any dog slobber on it which makes it even better!.

I also apologise for not posting pics immediately, but here are the wonderful crafts I received from the very talented Innaura!

Wynne sent me a pendant with a matching pair of earrings based on the the amulet in the Aneirin storyline in the game: very sparkly!

Sebastian managed to find the ashes of Andranste and put them into a necklace for me: also very sparkly!

Remember the story Leliana tells in the game of the lady in Orlais who wore such an elaborate hairstyle she even went so far as to put birds in her hair? Well, prepare yourself:

Yes, quite amazing but even more amazing is this:

Yes Leliana is quite generous as is Innaura and now I too can wear birds in my hair without fear of any *accidents*: she also sent me a massive amount of sweets from the USA for me to try which I won't feature here as they're almost all gone and besides everyone would feel far too jealous  Grin

Thanks for the excellent swap experience, Innaura, you're a very skilled and thoughtful craftster!

I have received from boxet and my goodness, she has some seriously well developed crafting skills, I'd never have guessed she was a first time swapper! All her future swap partners will be very lucky indeed to get her  Wink

Prepare yourself for a few pictures!

I was SO excited when I peeled off the postal covering to see this pretty parcel:

Inside that Justice left me his verses of dreams to fill with my dreams!

And inside! I was very impressed with the craftsmanship, I'd be so nervous trying to make something like this.

Wynne gave me this, reassuring me that she'll see the journey through as she's not the sort of person who leaves things unfinished:

Leliana gave me her very own chantry necklace:

AND a necklace and earring set her mother left her, which is just so touching and would have been unbearable to part with:

I loved discovering each of these handcrafted goodies in the parcel, I really appreciate all the effort that went into everything, your time and energy weren't wasted boxet, thank you!  Grin

Velvet rose and I received our packages from each other awhile ago so I apologise for not putting our photos up earlier. I have been moving house so I hope you all understand. Now to share!

Here is what I sent her please excuse out of focus pictures, poor lighting and murky background (beginning to move rush)

This is the box:

It's a VHS box covered in a rough silk and cotton woven skirt I found.

Here are the contents:

I went with a 'velvet rose' theme:

- earrings made from clear rose shaped buttons
- velvet and rose magnets
- a framed picture I found which made me think of similar eras
- a necklace which I added a yellow rose pendant to
- glasses case
- toiletries bag

They were all a joy to make and buy and I thought I had stuffed the box well until I received a very generously sized box from velvet rose:

A cardboard box which she had painstakingly covered entirely with lace and words and pretty papers. Note pictures now lit better, in focus and with pretty background: yep, I had moved and was settled  Wink

And here (prepare yourselves) are the beautiful things I found in the box:

I was amazed.

- sewn rose napkin rings
- two brooches
- a bracelet
- two notebooks (one plain for writing in, one scrap booked beautifully with pull out tag inserts)
- assorted laces
- pretty patterned papers
- pretty printed tags
- a velvet bag with flower embroidery on it (very luxurious)
- an intricate shawl
- decorated folders
- miniature crochet (I think?) doily like decorations which I'm actually going to hang at Christmas to add a bit of fanciness
- and the thing you've all been looking at and in awe of: a crochet (I think?) wreath of leaves and flowers which fits my head but has found itself being part of a center piece on the table so that everyone can see it and chat about it when they have a cup of tea at my place.

I know this is quite long so I won't post pics of all the individual items but if anyone would like a closer look at anything in particular I'll see if I have a pic and post it then.

As you can see velvet rose is a very talented and considerate swap partner and I had a lot of fun crafting for her as well. I only wish I had of sent her ten vhs boxes!
