I am DEFINITELY making myself one of these! Would you mind if I did a tute for it as I went along? It's just I've started documenting the crafty stuff I make for my blog (euurgh BLOG, I know). I doubt I'd come up with anything nearly as gorgeous as yours though!

I love these! That USA one is dedication. I've been thinking about making myself an apron. Are they easy to make?

Thanks so much guys Cheesy

@Donella, yeah that's the problem with me when it comes to dresses! Most of them have a higher waistband, but I must have a really long body because they always end up hugging my ribs more than my waist. I have rather wide hips too so I needed the dress to just skim over them, rather than having a skirt that was really wide and ruched which would just make them look more obvious. I have real trouble buying dresses haha. Thanks for the input anyway Smiley

Aw thanks! Too nice lol   Embarrassed

I think it could still do with a last bit of tailoring to iron out those wrinkles here and there. But I was feeling lazy after all that  Tongue

Haha thanks! Why would you ever move  Tongue

Just looking at your blog, it makes me hungry!

I've been lurking on and off for the past few years on Craftster and found it an endless source of help and inspiration! So when I made a tutorial for beginners on making a summer dress for my blog, I thought I should give something back. As you will see, I am still a complete novice at crafting, but I just enjoy it so much and websites like this have shown me that anyone can do it. So, if it will help anyone when it comes to making their first dress or whatever, then I'll be pleased. So here it is.

(By the way, I'm not entirely sure what you would call this type of dress - a sundress? skater dress? I dunno. What do you think? I just made it up as I went along haha)

Any comments/criticism welcome! Thanks!

Great dress! You can even re-use it as a Ginger Spice costume if you ever need one =D

You know, I've looked for a dress like this everywhere and the only one I found that I liked was in Sweden -- and for some reason I resisted it! So I think I have found my answer  Grin Great job.

Cute dress! Did you have to pay for the pattern?
