91  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Learning Curves on: July 28, 2011 06:27:01 PM
Ok, So these are a few of my projects that I've worked on since I picked up the hooks again a few months ago Smiley Some I like, some are not so good... But still, I wanted to share Smiley

The starting point for me and Amigurumi... Love these beads and the colours!!

My first piece that I made without a pattern.. I personally think it's obvious who she is but just in case, This is Bayonetta

The Bayonetta Doll was such a familiar shape that it inspired me to make my next project for my girls... It's been super popular with them.... Princess Bowling!

One for the nephews Smiley

And one of the more recent ones, Alice. Clearly I like to game Smiley

What'ya think? Criticism welcome Smiley I'm still learning!
92  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Friendly Hippo on: July 26, 2011 08:50:50 PM
Well, this is a gift for a friend who so kindly donated yarn to me! She is hippo and dolphin mad and whilst I've tried a few times, I just cant come up with a dolphin design that I like... So, the hippo came about instead. I'm pretty pleased with him, I wrote out my pattern first and corrected it as I stitched, took no time at all Smiley

I keep looking at the head though, and it's inspired me to make some Moomins. That's probably going to be coming up next!

Let me know what you think?? Critics welcome too Cheesy
93  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Ami Pacman Ghost Earrings. on: July 26, 2011 09:41:25 AM
I'm pretty new to Amigurumi, though I learnt to crochet when I was quite young... My DH brought me some hooks and such a few months ago after a long break from crocheting (over ten years!) and I just haven't stopped since. My projects are improving (I think) and I'm definitely getting faster at making them up Cheesy So, after stumbling across you guys, I thought I'd share some of my work with you Cheesy

Here's the most recent thing I've been working on, finished just a short while ago today in fact Smiley Honest opinions please??

People tell me they like what I'm coming up with, but its only close family and friends that have been able to see my things up till now... And we all know family can be nice when criticizing work!

These are clearly simple (are infact the same size too) but I whipped them up without following a pattern, using embroidery floss and a 1.5mm hook. They are my first ever pair of earrings, and I'm really quite pleased with them Smiley
