Two boxes, great idea! I think if I get an opportunity to do another one of these I'll take a leaf from scarlet_nights and wait a while before sending another parcel (to save for the shipping) AND send two boxes... I already mailed today and I had alot of fun putting my box together, I keep thinking of things I could have added, I guess thats the biggest argument for sending another box one day (not that it takes alot for me to convinve myself LOL)

I'm sending a small post-pak box too, next size up is mahoosive after that. I've not had chance to weigh yet

I know! Isn't it! I might have to start collecting different sized boxes for international shipping, (especially if there is an opportunity to do swaps such as this again Cheesy) I'd have liked to have sent a slightly bigger box but like you found the medium too huge...  When I filled in my questionaire I assumed that our small post-paks were the same size as the US small flat rate, but now I know better Smiley.

Thats what I'll be spending, $34 to ship, its not a massive box but I was careful about the weight of things (and their packaging) I was putting in, and I'll only be shipping a little under 3lb of goodies. How I wish it was just priced per packing box size and not weight! Still I'm quite pleased with the selection I fitted in (and I have the Mr's approval too) so I'm satisfied Smiley Plus The way I look at it, if I were to buy that amount of stuff from the American candy store I'd have paid more than $34 for the equvalent of it all no doubt so I assume it's the same for you guys! So imo its money well spent!

Just checkin in... Should be mailing in a few hours Smiley I ran out of room in my box (the small post-pak is a shoe box size), and I've not been able to find another box thats not massive so I've squeeeezed and packed super well to get all but a couple small things in! Fingers crossed the tight packing protects everything Cheesy (I finished my crafted gift nearly a week ago, its not so big so more room for goodies!) LOL!

I sent today - a crafted item and a large shoebox of snacks.  It was about 7-8 lbs of snacky goodness - the postage sucked  Tongue   But it should get there next week, middle or end.

so I packed my box today all nicely and figured I should weigh it before I head to the post office and it weighs 9lbs 10oz

Woah!! You guys post ALOT!! to ship 8lb in the cheapest way from here it would cost me $84(usd)! and first class would be $120! Needless to say, I'm not shipping 8lb of goodies :S

My Kinder eggs got to scarlet_nights OK, I just sent a whole box in a recorded mail package and all I wrote on my declaration was 'Gift - Candy'... I had a tummy flip when I discovered I shouldn't have sent them (mostly down to the mail guy saying US customs are being more stringent atm) but all was fine Cheesy I'll most likely send more, since then I've learned that for the most part all that happens if they are discovered is that they are confiscated... Bet the customs guys enjoy belllies full of kinder choccy! Haha!

Its sooo soft and it even smells good. She said sewing was not one of her strengths but you would never tell.

Awww thanks, you're too polite! I had fun making it, and it's helped make me feel better about sewing too (Need to learn how to do those pesky zips properly mind you :s) I've no idea why it smells so nice, I'm glad though Grin..  It's the first thing I've properly sewn since school, and back then it was just a super simple - 2 squares together - cover. I'll post pics of your's to me as soon as I get home Cheesy

Tada!!! My GORGEOUS pillow from Scarlet_nights! I love it sooo much and it has a new home on my banana leaf rocking chair in my dining room! It's a lovely pop of colour and she based it on one of my pinterest inspirations Smiley The man-shape appreciates it too (and he's not usually the type to pay much attention to accents around the home!) Thanks scarlet_nights, I've really enjoyed my first ever swap and I adore this pillow Cheesy

I'm on a roll with this one, picked up my shipping box today (which is bigger than I expected it to be, so my pack size guess was wrong LOL! stupid website didnt give sizes)... bought everything I need to make up my crafted gift Cheesy Now cant wait to get started, I work nights, so I grabbed the stuff on the way into work, and now just wanna get home! And I even started picking up goodies for the box too!

I have already done some snack shopping, I couldn't wait!  I'm undecided now on the Kinder Egg thing, they do rock, I'd like to send some. I can't imagine being fined, that sounds ridiculous, I mean, it's not exactly common knowledge, I wouldn't know were it not for Craftster.

Mine arrived just fine, a few hours ago... and quicker than I expected because I was told customs were strict at the moment and slowing things down alot by the guy at the post office.. but no problems here Smiley *phew* LOL!
