But you should have gone with the pickled onion monster munch. Feeding salt and vinegar/pickled onion crisps to unsuspecting americans is one of life's little pleasures  Grin Grin Grin

Salt and Vinegar? Really? Are they not a basic flavour in the US? I'd had some mentioned, with a specific vinegar, but I couldnt find those Sad I'd just assumed that salt and vinegar was as mundane in the US as here, so didnt send any other kind of s&v crisps :s....

so i went to mail my package today and must say i got sticker shock! Shocked i guess i have not mailed over seas in a while but when did the postage go up??? it is cheaper for me to split my package and mail it in two smaller boxes, which i will be doing. so i am re-packing tonight and will mail tomorrow. anyone else with sticker shock?

Postage just went up here, last week infact... We didnt get an awful lot of warning about the price hikes either (that or I keep my head under them rocks for far too long) Buuuut, quite excited that you're posting Smiley

On another candy related note, The manshape bought 'whoppers' from the international store today on a whim (My daughters dragged him in), and must say, US malt balls are well.... not so great. Gimme Malteasers any day! lol!

Great package, LiritKiraly! I have never heard of instant custard, but it sounds yummy Grin And what exactly is Monster Munch?
I especially like the little sewing kit!

Thanks Cheesy The custard is sooo much easier that all that eggs, cream and vanilla faffing! LOL! The monster munch is just maize snacks that are supposed to look like feet, I went conservative with these and sent the beef flavour the other flavours (pickled onion especially) are an aquired taste imo...
I'm quite proud of the sewing wallet, its all sewn by hand I was dubious about using my machine with it. I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to sewing (especially machine sewing). There's one thing on it I'd change, but overall I'm pleased.. I was inspired buy fabricfriends obvious love for sewing, the style of some of her pinterest boards and that crinkle ribbon (which came from a chocolate bunny!)

flying saucers and custard! yummy!

I'm a birds custard girl to the core, so had to send the yumminess! (Though I was told that it's something else we're not supposed to ship to the US. No idea why at all though)

I'm so glad you like it all, this is my second ever swap and I dunno about other people but I get quite nervous after I've sent, and start thinking how I could have done things different or better LOL!

I've no idea if I told you fabricfriend what the hard candies are :s So just incase I didnt, the green ones are Chocolate Limes, the Orange are Cough Candy (anyone know why they are called that?) and the last ones are (my faves) Rhubard and Custards Smiley

Just a bigger Kinder Egg, its about 100g. The egg is about 8 inches tall, with a wind up toy, large puzzle or alike inside Smiley They do similar sized balls too (usually around christmas I think)

I'm having a kitchen and bathroom refit over the next few weeks and I'm going to be having a dark wood effect look to my cupboards, so I've chosen red to be the accent colour for the kitchen, to make it feel warmer. I've been looking EVERYWHERE for tea towels, dish clothes and oven mitts/pot holders in a 'nice' red with a pattern I like but too no avail (guess I'm too fussy) So I figure sewing all of them should be a breeze... I made a crude oven mitt and school once, If I could do it then, I can probably do it now... But I wonder..... Whilst I'm assuming I'll need 100% cotton for the mitts/pot holder and some (I dunno what it is... wadding?) I wonder would polycotton suffice for the teatowels? Would it be absorbant enough? I'll probably crochet the dish cloths using cotton yarn.

Normally I'd turn my nose up at things like that, those patterns make me think of rugs.... buuuut I totally adore this, it's such a nice shape and not overpowered by the patterns, it looks really well made too!... bet this would look good in a smaller version also Smiley (my rock/punk chic 5yr old would wear it to death!)
