I made my husband's shirt's into a tshirt "snuggie." The bottom half was the tshirt front panels made to look like a simple quilt, and the top and backing was polar fleece that I recycled from a blanket.  I did 6" round armholes (which will fit most)  I measured his shoulder to floor height and across his chest for placements. Not too hard and he loves it!
