1  Re: Doctor Who Season 9 Swap in The Swap Gallery by BigBangMomma on: Today at 01:13:06 PM

Here's my close up pics of my awesome goodies from chughes225. She gave me a journal cover (and a journal, so I can reuse the cover over and over) with a  cool quote from my pinterest.  A wibbly wobbly Tardis ornament, also from my pinterest, and an amazing string hoop of the tardis.  She took a pin I had, and altered it to fit the swap. (it's one where you do a string of the state you're from)

Thanks again!

So chughes225 and I were super lucky to be paired together, and live in the same state, AND get to meet in real life to exchange packages! So cool---here we are together, showing off our goodies:

We both drove 2 hours to meet at Red Robbins for lunch. She brought dessert. Seriously you guys....she made this awesome TARDIS cake. It's a little "wibbly wobbly" from it's journey, but it was yummy. We even shared with our waiter! Ha!

Chughes made me a journal cover, a wibbly wobbly TARDIS ornament, and a very unique string TARDIS hoopla. And cookies. She was so excited about the edibles! I will take more pictures and post close ups of my goodies soon.

Thanks for the great swap rubylynns. I loved having chughes for a partner and making a new Craftster and IRL friend!

I received yesterday from gala_apples.  She sent me a huge magnet set of first initials of the characters in Boy Meets World/Girl Meets World.  Two hooplas for my hoopla wall. The larger says "Where's Carl?" From my Walking Dead fandom, and the smaller says "Baby Girl, Pretty Boy, Sugar Shack" which his the flirting between Morgan and Garcia in Criminal Minds, small notecards with Doctor Who saying, and Tardis inspired earrings as an extra.

Close up of the hoops--I am the lucky recipient of her first ever embroidery!

Thank you so much!

CraftyMommaBee, yay, I'm so glad your piece is getting so much love from your daughter. That is just so sweet.

I am absolutely in love with that octopus! So beautiful!

I received from CraftyMommaBee yesterday. She sent me her very first woodburning. And, the force is strong with it. It's from Star Wars. My son loves Star Wars! He hasn't snuck off with it. I will hang it in my kitchen with the rest of my 4x6 an mini hoopla's!

Thank you so much. It is wonderful, and very original.

6  Re: Teeny Traveler in a Tin Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by BigBangMomma on: February 18, 2015 01:53:08 PM
I sent to pioneer9.  She doesn't have a digital camera , so she asked me to post pictures of what I sent her.
One of her requests was for a Nan Lawson inspired traveler. Her pinterest has a badges board, so I tried to make her traveler like that.  She also has a lot of typewriters, so since her traveler is a book lover, she travels with her typewriter.

I thought it was funny that she sent me a neat book, and I sent her some books. I also giggled when she sent my blanket, as I almost made one for her too.

Here's everything:

Here's the front:

Here's the inside:

I hope you liked everything Valerie.

Yay,  my internet seems to be cooperating now!  Here are my adorable travelers, yes, that's right from pioneer9.  She sent this super cute monster, and it's traveling penguin companion.  They have traveled many places, and kept quite the amazing journal of their travels. I cannot believe how tiny the writing is! I wish I could share every page. It's so cool. They also travel with their beautiful blanket. I love it all. Thank you so much Valerie, and Thank you PerfectlyBohemian for this great swap!

Look how it all fits in their tin!

8  Round 60 Inch Pineapple Tablecloth in Crochet: Completed Projects by BigBangMomma on: January 28, 2015 04:55:42 PM
A little over a year ago, one of my high school bff's asked me if I could crochet a round pineapple stitch tablecloth for her.  She said there was no rush in it, so I've worked on it off an on throughout this time. It's taken me about 70 hours, and has 55 rounds.  One of my friends thought it was so funny that I chose to use a 3.5 mm hook for the crochet thread, but it's worked out great.  I am so ecstatic about how it's turned out, and I'm relieved it's finally complete.

As I don't have a round table in my home, the picture is taken at my local library.

Thanks for looking!

10  My First Crocheted Tree Topper in Crochet: Completed Projects by BigBangMomma on: December 03, 2014 06:13:30 PM
While I've done tons of crocheting lately, this is the first project I've shared on here in a long time.  I've done blankets, and a few bags, and lots of amigurumi, but never anything that's needed to be blocked or starched, until now.

I was asked to me an angel tree topper.  This was a free pattern I found online, that I gave a slight variation to. I'm still learning about how to best starch, etc, and this is before one more last round or two, but I'm excited to share this gorgeous 9" angel tree topper with you!

Thanks for looking.  Have a wonderful holiday.
