that's such a cute purse! i think they'd sell great Smiley
another option you might want to try is doing a tote bag size. it looks nice and strong and like it would be perfect for a summer/beach tote - they'd be cute in stripes from different t-shirts  Wink

like your new user pic indieanna  Grin

and to stay on topic:
i'm planning to try out the atc envelope template from ruthann zaroff's site.
i was wondering if anyone else has used it, and did you mail your atc in just that, or did you put the whole works in another envelope as well?

ok, here's the latest and greatest...
most folks have at least gotten their first book. there are a few who haven't. there is at least one who has sent the first book she received on and is working on book 2.
hopefully this makes sense:
rather than push out the schedule to 3 weeks, i think we should stay roughly in a two week time frame. basically, the mail is pretty unpredictable and it's too costly to ask everyone to mail priority or higher (especially those of us mailing internationally). basically, what i am asking everyone to do is to stay in touch with your partners.
ie: if you are expecting a book and you finally receive it 1 or 2 days before you're supposed to send it out, pm the person you send to and give them a heads-up. let them know that you may need a day or two extra to work on it.
same thing applies if you get a book late or just get delayed and mail it late. pm and give the heads-up. as long as everyone stays in touch we'll pretty much have the books accounted for.
my hope is that by always sending to the same person we'll be able to gauge how long it actually takes for the mail to arrive and then plan accordingly.
thanks!

can everyone please send me a PM and let me know
#1 when you sent out your blank book
#2 whether or not you have received the book you're supposed to work on first

this will give me an idea of where we stand currently.

re: a third swap - i've been waiting to see if there are enough people interested, so far i have 2. i also want to work out the organizational bugs before i try to do another one. if someone else would like to organize a new swap, go for it  Cheesy i'll be more than happy to offer what advice i can.

my un-birthday gift came first thing this morning. i could smell the lavender before i opened the envelope - eliciting happy little sighs of "mmm" from me and the baby  Grin
inside was a nifty zippered bag and matching eye pillow made out of the coolest camo fabric. the camo splotches are all silhouettes of pin up girls!
i'll post pics this afternoon. i'm taking the girl to get her picture taken and i need to stop and get batteries for the digital.
thanks sfsf! i love it   Cheesy

If there ends up being a deco swap number 3 I'm interested. I've never done this before, so the one thing I'm wondering about is how do people display what their interests are on the page while still staying within the theme of the book? Also, in the instructions it says that you'll have a week to work on it, but the mailing dates are only a week apart, so how does that work? Forgive me for being dense here, but it would seem that by the time you got the stuff in the mail (depending on how the person sent it) you would only have a day or two. Sorry for all the questions....Maybe I'm too new for this particular swap?
 Tongue

as far as displaying your interests, they're just written in, incorporated to the design. like so: http://www.moderngypsy.com/green/alostart/ala-odecos3.html

as far as the weekly thing and having time to work on it...
would two weeks apart be better for everyone? let me know... and if someone would like to step in and help me out with this, i'd be eternally greatful  Undecided
