1  Re: Theme Box Swap Gallery and Discussion in The Swap Gallery by LilLouLouBell on: March 08, 2012 05:22:49 PM
I received an absolutely amazing package from CherryLime yesterday.  I cannot say enough about all of the wonderful things in that tiny package.  I really can't even say what is my favorite thing, it is all so awesome!  Honestly, I had forgotten a lot of the themes I put on my questionnaire, which made opening the box even more exciting!

First of all, apologies for my terrible photography.  These photos won't do some of these things justice, so I hope you can use your imagination!  Cheesy

Yoda is my hero, and I got this awesome anklet!  I'm so glad I live in FL and it is in the 70s/80s already so I can show this off!

Spock is my soulmate (though he only feels that way every seven years or so!  I love you if you got that!  Cheesy )  and I can't wait to start jotting notes in this little pad!  Tongue

A necklace and matching earrings following the theme of "black and white romance", and as I love ribbon roses and pearls, this jewelry set is even more perfect for me then CherryLime may of intended!  She's so good!  Cheesy  Also, I love the "Tiffany & Co." box!

This fits the theme of "colorful, funky jewelry", and I think it is beautiful!  I love purple, and I like the iridescences.  Also, I've been on kind of an 80's kick lately, and I think the pendant sort of falls into that era!

I was flabbergasted when I saw this bracelet.  I randomly inherited one of those larger wooden beads in a mixtures sent by my aunt years ago.  I've been looking for more of these beads because I thought they were so cute.  I got a wonderful bracelet and extra beads from CherryLime!  Isn't that such a cool coincidence?

I love this little pouch.  CherryLime embroidered an "ohm" on it for me, my favorite symbol and my favorite colors!  Can't figure out what I'm gonna put in it just yet, but it will definitely be put to use!

Big Bang Theory!  I love this song, sing it all the time to my mom, and this ATC is now on display directly in the middle of my fridge!  Cheesy

And last but not least, this wonderful desk calendar and extra little sci-fi/ horror posters printed on cardstock for my use!  I think I'll turn some of them into little pendants for necklaces and earrings.  Isn't it cool!?  I'll have to figure out a way to change the month without damaging the pages.

Didn't I get a wonderful package?  Thank you so much CherryLime!  I hope you love your box as much as I loved everything in mine!   Kiss

I received a wonderful package from dhfreak yesterday!  I'm so excited and I really appreciate her venture into jewelry making for me.  Without further ado:

Monroe Stuffie (Can't recall exactly the name of these little guys, pretty sure it starts with an "A"  Wink )  to start my collection of little plush guys from craft swaps!

A necklace drawing on Monroe's stain glass window as inspiration!  I asked for something with that window because I absolutely love it, and I applaud dhfreak's interpretation because I never would have thought of that!  Cheesy

An amazing blutbad drawing that is going to get a frame here shortly because it is absolutely awesome!

And my very favorite thing from the box because it is beautiful and simple!

I'm not a great photographer, but the charms are a Cinderella's slipper and the Frog Prince, which are my two favorite fairy tales.  I just love this necklace for so many reason!

Thank you so much dhfreak for a wonderful package, and also to amymarie78 for being such a wonderful partner to craft for.  This was only my second swap and my first round robin.  I was a little hesitant about being in a round robin group, but I think it worked out lovely!  Cheesy

3  Grimm (NBC) or Grimm Fairy Tales Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by LilLouLouBell on: December 11, 2011 09:08:05 AM

I totally falling in love with the new show on NBC Grimm.  I've always loved the Grimm Fairy tales, as well.  I think it would be so much fun to do a swap around the show, but I would also love to do just a Grimm fairy tale swap as well if there isn't enough interest in doing one for the show.

Unfortunately I don't think I have enough experience (I've only done one swap) to organize this, so if anybody is willing I would be very grateful!  Let me know what ya'all think!

4  Re: A Very Merry Supernatural Christmas in The Swap Gallery by LilLouLouBell on: December 09, 2011 11:36:13 AM
This was my very first swap and it was a lot of fun.  I am happy to say I love everything that Willowe sent me!

The first thing I saw upon opening the box was this:

The chain on the necklace is nice and long (yay!), and the vials contain (from left to right): herbs for protection, holy water (I love the little cross!), salt ('cause this swap wouldn't be complete without some salty!), and Angel's grace (how creative is that!  I never would of thought of it!).  I love how I can change out the charms for this necklace.

The second lovely thing:

My cat, Izzy, loves her new stocking!  She likes the ribbon tab most of all (of course, she's a cat!), but as her mom I feel confident in saying that she appreciates the angel banishing vigil as well!  Smiley  And of course Willowe drew it in the hasty manner they would on the show for more authenticity (excellent choice!).  Izzy says thank you!

And finally:

I cannot say how much I love this bag!  It is my absolute favorite color, my favorite quote from the show (love Cas!) which I say all the time, the lining fabric is beautiful, and it has a magnet closure!  She even drew the Holy Oil moltov(sp?) cocktail that Castiel threw.

(Isn't the lining fabric pretty?)

The construction on the bag is awesome.  I'm a new sewer, so these things still amaze me.  I love how sturdy the bottom is and out wide the handles are.  The bag worked out wonderfully carrying my laptop to class this morning, and I can't wait to take it on my next library excursion!

This has been such a fun experience, and I truly think I'm going to be addicted to craft swaps after this!  Thank you for being my first, Willowe!  Smiley  I appreciate your patience with me throughout the last two weeks or so.  My grandmother was hopitalized, but she is back at home and doing wonderfully now!

5  Supernatural Swap for the new Season? in New Swap Theme Ideas by LilLouLouBell on: July 25, 2011 05:49:23 PM
I'm a newbie here, and I saw that there was a Supernatural Swap Valentine's Day Edition.  I can't organize a swap yet, but I was wondering if anybody was thinking of a swap this fall for the season seven.  I believe it premieres mid-September, so it might be cutting it a little close, but if someone gets on it soon I think we could make it.  I love the show, so I think this would be a fun swap for my first time Wink

Let me know whatcha think!  Cheesy

6  My Craftster Intro (Pics) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by LilLouLouBell on: July 22, 2011 11:18:06 AM
Hey everybody!  I don't have many friends that craft, so I thought this would be a fun place to share my work.  I've been snooping the threads here for a while anyway, when I need inspiration!  Wink  So here are a few projects I've done over the years.  This is just a snippet of some of my bead work.

That's my gram in the background!  These are sterling silver, dyed fresh water pearl, and tensha beads.

These are also sterling silver and I think that's called Paua shell.

Cut out Buffalo Nickels, and feathers (Can't remember what sort of metal that is!)

Quartz flowers, Delicas, crow beads, turquoise, and a bamboo spacer bar all put together with sterling silver!

Seed beads, coconut, a quartz flower, and a shell charm that came on a purse I bought in Japan.

Comments much appreciated, my lovelies!
