1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Small Hook Limit on: July 23, 2011 10:24:13 PM
Do you have a working limit with the small size of your hooks?
I have found that even if I am working with lace, I just can't work with hooks E/4 (3.50MM) and smaller. But maybe this is because I grew up learning with bigger hooks.

I learned with the pencil way of holding the hook and that works fine for me.

I'm not showing any signs of pain, but maybe that because I'm a younger crocheter.

I am crocheting a companion cube from the game Portal as a gift for another person.

I didn't think ahead and sewed the main dark grey squares together before I added the lighter grey accents, so now I have to deal with sewing these on through a slit I left to fill with stuffing later.

This is my first attempt at trying to crochet something 3D-ish, and I am having one major trouble. How do I end off something from the inside like this? I don't want the end on the outside, but because of the way I placed it together I can't knot really close to the material.  Does anybody know of an easier way to do this?  Huh

Sorry if I didn't make a lot of sense.
