2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: polyphonic spree bag on: May 11, 2004 10:00:26 AM
i covered it in some spare fabric then ironed over it. it was my textiles teacher who suggested it might work....but i dont know if it actually works because she is a bit rubbish really and tends to get textiles things wrong. Ive had some issues with t-shirts with acrylic paint on that comes off after a few washes
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / polyphonic spree bag on: May 09, 2004 02:36:35 AM
the polyphonic spree are one of my favourite bands so i made this bag with them in mind. its based on a gig poster i saw with loads of red balloons. I followed the tutorial for the messenger bag above somewhere and painted the balloons on with red acrylic paint. i ironed over it in a hope to 'seal' it but it will prolly still run if it rains.any ideas what i can do so the paint doesnt run?

6  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re:textiles coursework dress on: April 20, 2004 04:13:47 PM
the finished skirt was quite a bit shorter and the net poked out a little at the bottom and was fuller towards the bottom so it looked a little less square.
7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / textiles coursework dress on: April 15, 2004 12:50:24 PM
this is the dress ive made for part of my textiles coursework. Ive got to hem the skirt but i need to overlock it using the machines at school. Im thinking of making it a whole lot shorter but im not sure....any ideas? The picture of me is pretty horrid so feel free to laugh...hopefully ill find someone else to model it for me. Im really quite proud of the whole thing because it was pretty hard work. I used a pattern (cant remember what kind) but reconstructed the whole thing....which was fun....but its finally finished and ive been told its expected quite a good grade! yippieeeee
