1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / .:Bell Sleeved Shrug:. (***pattern added****) on: June 01, 2006 07:56:37 PM
Just finished this shrug!  Eeeeeeee...  *****pattern is at the 4th post down******

closeup... XD

Closeup of the stitch and yarn...

From the side.  Love the sleeves... ^_^

Aaaaaaaaand the back.  =P

The pattern is my own design.  Used a rectangle knifty knitter loom, 2 leftover skeins of yarn (methinks it's caron simply soft and target dollar fringe). =)
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Noob-ish Question... (what to do with yarn) on: May 27, 2006 10:19:13 PM
Okay, I'm a "self-taught" knitter...

Quick question, I have a huge stash of acrlyic yarn donated to me from my deceased grandmother.  Can this be used for dish/wash cloths?

Second semi quick question: Most of it is way to rough to use for garments or pillows...  Any other ideas?
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Gamer and Knitter.... XD ((56K warning)) on: May 10, 2006 07:22:02 AM
Yeah, I'm kinda geeky...

I loooooooooove having my ds.  It's great!  The only bad part is it keeps getting scratched up in my purse.  So, today I got the great idea to knit a case for it!  Bwahahaha...

First, here's my ds...

And a couple hours later... my case!

Some buttons...

Also, it doubles as a pillow for one of my bears... ^_^

Thus, the result of being a gamer and knitter... tehe  Nice combo, huh?
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Fjura Knit Purse! on: February 12, 2006 07:14:23 PM
Name translates to flower in Maltese.  ^_^

Tis my first knit purse!  Somewhat my own design (looked at a ton of patterns, didn't really like any of them but got the basic idea for construction through it).  The only major downfall: patches.  Patches are evil and hard as heck to handsew on.  u.u

size 10 needles
caron simply soft brites in mango and lemonade
faux bamboo handles
sunflower patch

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Belt and slippers... on: November 26, 2005 08:24:39 PM
Here's my latest projects:

I love making slippers! (they only take like a week to make... tehehe).  These were finished in Lion Homespun with white ribbon to tie it.  Click here for the pattern: http://www.supereggplant.com/archives/000250.html

Here's the best!  Took half of a skein of Target dollar area yarn!  Basically cost me 50 cents!
Yup, that's me in the image too...

Here's a close-up:

It's basically c/o 9 stitches, then knit every row until it is long enough to wrap around your waist.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / 10 skeins of yarn... HEEEEELP! on: September 14, 2005 05:50:32 PM
Okay, my deceased grandmother left me around 10 skeins of soft, white yarn...

Here's the problem... what's a quick and easy project that I could do with it?  I really want to use up the yarn, but (besides scarves) what can I do with it?
